We were finding fairly large ants in our kitchen due to the unusually warm weather out this way for February. I went online and read the reviews for Terro, which clearly outperformed anything by Raid or its ilk. I ordered some, put them in the kitchen, and the ants were gone in two days. I found a few of them inside the traps, but I didn't give it much thought after that. My son yells, "Dad, there are ants by the door!" in the month of March, this past Saturday. " Sure enough, there was a trail of ants running along the base of the door frame inside the house, looking like they were coming from somewhere inside the house because I couldn't find a trail of them outside, so I got three Terro bait packs and placed them along the side of the door. " I spilled some of the fluid from one of the packs on the floor where I was putting the bait pack, but I figured it was fine and I'd clean it up after the ants left. Within an hour or so, what you see in the picture I've included with this happened: a swarm of ants gathered around the spill, and there were numerous ants inside all three of the packs I'd laid down. By that night, I'd only seen one or two ants on occasion; as of this writing, the ants have vanished. In the end, there is no doubt that this stuff works. Reasonable price, and it's clear that thousands of people before me were satisfied with it, and I now fully endorse that satisfaction. Don't bother with the stuff you'd get at the supermarket, Lowes, or Home Depot; THIS is what you need to get rid of ants.
Ants had been infiltrating my office bathroom for months, following a well-defined path from the tub to the toilet and back. Where they came from, there are some cracks in the grout. br>br>I set up three of these bad boys, and OMG, a much FATTER line of dumb marching ants appeared within days. I shut the door and came back two days later to see what had happened, and it was absolutely incredible. The dead bodies of ants who died as a result of the Terro Ant Killer's FLAWLESS VICTORY were strewn across the entire tub bottom. It's obvious that these idiot ants carried the poison in their bodies to the nest and then spewed it out the drain in writhing agony and pain as they lay dying in a beautiful portrait of the Battle of Terro against the gleaming white bottom of my lovely bath tub. All those dead crappy bodies were quickly and effectively pushed down the drain by a quick warm water wash of the smooth silky white surface. br>br>Weeks later, no ant has dared to return to my office bathroom, having learned what the Terro Tower truly represents.
until Terro arrives! We have weekend visitors coming in on Friday, so I needed something quick and easy. This early in the season, I needed a toxic solution to deal with an ant infestation unlike any I'd seen before in Northern Virginia. They usually arrive in July or August. I bought this product (with express shipping / same day on Monday) after seeing all of the positive reviews on Amazon to deal with an ant swarm that was literally swarming around and in our cats' food dishes. This stuff is effective! I took another reviewer's advice and put the cats' food bowls in a baking pan of water, forcing the ants to eat the bait. (The cats aren't happy with this arrangement, but their food bowls are no longer infested with ants. ) I purchased the 3-pack. Pack (18 total) and place 1 pack (6 bait trays) evenly around the cats' dishes and under the futon, which appears to be the ants' main path. The ants were happily climbing into the "drive-through" containers in less than an hour. The problem is **significantly** reduced this morning (Tuesday). Overall, there are fewer ants, but they are still "taking the bait. " "Three hurrahs," as the saying goes. 1) to the vendor for an OUTRAGEOUSLY low price; 2) to Amazon Prime same-day shipping; 3) Terro for coming up with a good solution for these little "basteds. ".
Simply put, you should not. Not if you're dealing with a genuine ant horde. We've tried them all to combat the annual summer kitchen takeover of the water-cooling system. seekers. It is abhorrent. br>br>Bait traps, sprays, Raid, low-cost items, etc. These appear to be ant delicacies, and they're very popular. With these guys, word of mouth goes a long way. br>br>This year, their assault started in the dead of winter, and they claimed more territory. Imagine my surprise when I discovered an ant-infested bathtub. br>br>After seeing Terro listed as the most effective heavy weapon on Google, I ordered a few and strategically placed them. There are numerous of them. br>br>Reclaiming the kitchen and bath took about two days. br>br>As soon as one ant is spotted (there is no such thing as *one* ant), new traps are immediately set up. We've discovered their points of entry. br>br> Sealing them, on the other hand, will necessitate extensive and costly wall and plumbing ripping out. Meanwhile, I'm grateful to the kind strangers who created and sold this. They're enshrined in my last will and testament.
