Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this in a garden?

Terra says that in the general area, it's fine, but not too close to the plants. I hope this information has been of some assistance to you.

My stakes are running low, and I'd like to get some new ones. Has anyone seen them, and if so, could they provide a link? Nothing comes up when you search for "terro refills." ?

You'd have to purchase a new unit, unfortunately.

Will the fire ants be exterminated as a result of this?

No, this product is primarily designed for ants who eat sugar or sweets. The TERRO Fire Ant Killer is a weapon designed to eliminate fire ants. Fire ants can be exterminated with a 2 pound canister or TERRO ant dust.

Ant mounds are strewn across the lawn. filled! Is it okay if I just plop these down on the grass?

Yes, you can plant them wherever you want in the ground. They'll be about an inch and a half to two inches above ground level, though. If you have a large area to treat, you may want to look into other control options.

Isn't it true that you get what you pay for when you pay for something I always think these are expensive, but I bought a pack because I couldn't keep the ants out of my house
4/5

I tried to cover three different points, two below windows, with half of the box. It took at least three days to notice the difference, but there were no ants on the fourth day.

If nothing else seems to be working, give this a shot
5/5

For weeks, my house has been infested with small black ants. They usually disappear after the spring season, but this time they were here to stay. Countless hours were spent scouring corners, vacuuming like a madman, setting traps, baiting ants, applying ant "gel," caulking, and plastering every nook and cranny to no avail. The ants were so desperate to get inside my house that I found them in a bag of cough drops. br>br>I noticed highways of ants crawling up the foundation. I put five of these down and noticed a difference the next day. There were a few ants here and there, but no swarms during the night or early in the morning. What about the next day? I haven't seen an ant in a long time, and I can't seem to find one. I even left some orange juice remnants in a cup on the counter by accident. which would normally have brought them in for a get-together- There has been no progress. I haven not seen an ant in a few days, and even the ants on the foundation outside are 2010% of what they were. Let's hope for the best, but this stuff was fantastic.

THINGS ARE EXTREMELY BAD! I was unable to commden on the poison because I was unable to access it
3/5

The bait could not be opened. The poison is in a plastic container in the green stake, and I followed the directions on the box and tried, but the entire green stake fell apart. To remove the tab, you must twist, tear, and open it. OK . I couldn't get the tab open, whether it was stuck in the ground or in my hands, as directed. My husband, who has much longer fingers than mine, couldn't do it either. I asked my gardener to do it, and he was successful in removing the tab, but the bait remained closed. Then my carpenter gave it a shot, and he was able to open the tab (in a direction other than the one shown on the box). ) YAY. As soon as I took the stake from him, the poison began to drip down my hands. With some very foul words streaming from my mouth, I recycled the cardboard box and threw the remaining stakes in the garbage. Isn't it true that none of these new designs have been tested on people? arrgh!.

Ants, you've had your day
5/5

Every Spring, these little monsters rip through the mortar in my hardscaped backyard, leaving mounds of mortar with distinct holes. Actually, the way they can build these things is pretty amazing. Unfortunately, they destroy my hardscape, so enter this product: you simply plop this into the adjacent soil, twist off the cap, and voila, no more ants in a matter of hours. Thank you, God. br>br>.

I have a pismire ant infestation, the small ones, and have had no effect after two weeks
3/5

Outside, there are colonies of them that I am attempting to eradicate. For the past two weeks, I've had one of these open next to one of the colonies. The ants enjoy crawling on it, but it has no effect on the colony. I double-checked that the bait's tab was removed and that access to the bait was unobstructed. br>I'm not a fan of this.

Ant Bait that works every time
5/5

Outside, these ant baits deliver the dependable terro bait; they stay put and ants find the bait almost instantly. I'm using them in flower pots that need to be brought inside before the cold weather arrives, so I don't bring ants into the house with them.

They're effective, but only for a short period of time
3/5

I used a knife because the tab you have to twist off is extremely difficult to twist, and I had ants all over my patio one day. There wasn't a single one the following day. As a result, I can't say it's ineffective. It does. They were back in a matter of weeks, though. To keep all of the ants at bay, I'd probably have to buy a lot of these and keep replacing them.
