YES, it is going to happen. I'm sure you're talking about the obnoxious lawn/yard crawfish that live underground and build mounds after every heavy rain. Having to remove the mounds before cutting the grass is a real pain in the neck. Dump a little into each hole and fill with water, or mix it with water in a bucket and pour a little into each hole. It will take some time, but they will leave eventually. It's unclear whether it kills them or simply chases them away. After reading online that one of the ingredients is good for crawfish, I decided to give it a shot.
Isn't it true that everything is bigger in Texas? As a result, you'll require the Taxas size.
I've been using this product for quite some time, and I've discovered that it works best when I slightly disturb the mound. I sprayed the ant mound with a small amount of ant killer. Then, with a 2-foot-long stick, I poke the mound a few times. Then I take a deep breath and take a step back. The ants go insane and carry the poison into the mound with them. Just remember to take a step back and STAND BACK.
I moved to Chicago and had a roach problem, so I just put it under the sink in the kitchen and bathroom. It worked very quickly, and the family downstairs told me that they couldn't open a drawer without roaches running out for years, but after only a few weeks, they didn't see any, and asked what I was using. Yes, it even resolved their roach issue.

I swear to you, this stuff works like magic on roaches! I had had enough of these roaches and had stopped cooking because of them. They had taken up residence throughout the house, with the kitchen serving as their command center. Just as I was about to move because I couldn't get rid of them, a family gave me the remainder of the product and it worked like magic; I started seeing dead roaches all over the place. They were all gone in three weeks, and my home now feels like heaven. Amazing.
I live in a small apartment complex with two duplexes that are adjacent to each other. I didn't buy this product for fire ant control, but a fire ant mound appeared in our small yard after recent heavy rains. I used the powder as directed, and the ants were gone the next day, so I can tell you that Orthene Fire Ant Killer works. These ants are a major issue in Houston, Texas. Their stings are extremely painful, so it's critical to keep both humans and animals safe from these dreadful pests. br>br>I purchased this item because I've been using it to kill roaches for four years. I just moved into this apartment and want to get rid of the roaches as soon as possible. br>br>My previous apartment had a horrible roach infestation, despite the fact that they sent an exterminator every month. It was so bad that I went to the manager and cried, pleading with her to help me. She dispatched two ladies to clean the premises, after which she sprayed a layer of Orthene Fire Ant Killer ONLY under my refrigerator. After five days of sweeping up dead roaches, the entire two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment was free of them. I re- I used it every three months or so, and I never saw another roach after that. That exterminator was never allowed back into my home. br>br>NOTE: It is critical to apply this powder in a location where people and pets will not be able to access it. You might be tempted to strew it around the baseboards and cabinets. DOUBLE-DOUBLE-DOUBLE-DOUBLE-DOUBLE-DOUBLE-DOUBLE-DO.
Make sure it's not too close to your foundation or too far away from your windows. It will pervade your walls OR the ants will carry it into the walls, die, and you will be left with the stench of dead ants as well as the poison. In all seriousness - I thought I had a dead animal in my walls or that my walls were wet and molding for a month. It was causing me to lose my mind - I was removing electrical outlet plug plates from the walls and sticking my nose inside to smell, crawling along the floor baseboards to smell, everything! I thought I'd gone insane. My husband can't smell very well, so he thought I was crazy until I read a review about the smell on here, and boy, were they right! So I went outside and swept up any ant killer I could see before cleaning the brick wall around the foundation and under the window. Within a few days, the odor had vanished. It's perfect for lounging in the garden away from home. NOT SUITABLE FOR USE IN THE HOUSE OR IN CONTACT WITH IT.
We live in south Louisiana, where we have a lot of fire ants. Fire ant bites have triggered an allergic reaction in my wife. Our yard is treated with Ortho Fire Ant Killer twice a year, which keeps them away. It's pricey, but it works and lasts about six months.
This stuff works, but there are a few things to keep in mind. 1. br>br> It smells awful, but I don't mind if it smells bad as long as a product like this works. As a result, I'm not going to deduct any points.
2. When you're sprinkling it on the mound, make sure you're standing upwind. You'll be much more likely to get a whiff of the powder if you're downwind, which will not be a pleasant experience.
3. Although the container is quite large, it is only half-filled. Yes, it says 12 oz. on the label. Most people have no idea how little powder there is, but it's worth a lot of money. When you first see the container, you assume it contains a large amount of material. However, when you open the container, you'll notice that it's only half full. I ordered FIVE of them, and they all came with the same amount of product, roughly half of the container. Sure, the label says 12 ounces, but I always feel cheated when I see half-full containers. Seriously, if you're not going to fill the container, why don't you save some plastic and divide the powder into smaller containers?
4. It can treat "up to 162 mounds," according to the product description. "WISH ME LUCK in getting it to treat so many people. Yes, I read the fine print and understand that "up to" 162 mounds are allowed. When a product says "up to," interpret it as "Plan on using a lot more than the big print indicates, because the chances of you getting this much use out of it are about the same as winning the lottery!" " The only way you'll be able to treat 162 mounds is if they're all micro-sized fire ant mounds! Basically, it should be the size of your palm or smaller. This product does not kill fire ants, according to some reviewers. Every single mound I treated was killed by Orthene. You must, however, ensure that the mound is sufficiently covered. I purchased five canisters because I have a large yard and expected to dust frequently. However, catching most mounds with a diameter of 4 inches or less, which is the size for which the least amount of Orthene is prescribed, is nearly impossible. And, in order to stretch it out to treat 162 fire ant mounds, all of the fire ant mounds you treat would have to be 4 inches or smaller; many of the mounds I had were a foot across (the vast majority were 8 inches), and this stuff takes a lot of it to work. I had to re-kill a lot of mounds because they weren't completely killed the first time. They should be dusted. So I know I didn't abuse this product; I followed the instructions to the letter but had to re-apply it. To finish them off, dust a few of them the next day.
5. It doesn't work as quickly as it claims. It DOES work, but not as quickly as claimed, as I previously stated. Especially if I didn't properly dust the mound. The next day, I'd go out and find some mounds that were still active, though the fire ants were far fewer in number and acted inebriated.
6. It was only a few weeks ago that I placed my first order. Despite my reservations, I was planning to order more today, but the price had already risen by more than $2. Each container is different!
7. It takes a lot less time than drenching the mound. I was mixing up a solution with a Bifen super concentrate in my large spray tank and transporting it from mound to mound. It takes a long time to soak the mound in enough liquid to reach the queen. It's much faster to dust the mound. br>br>The bottom line is that it works, but not as quickly as it claims. It stinks, but it's poison, so you should keep it away from your face anyway. Because cans only contain a small amount, they won't be able to treat many normal-sized fire ant mounds. As I previously stated, I purchased 5 cans and killed approximately 110 mounds. Even if the price went up, it would still be a good deal if it treated anywhere near 162 mounds per can. I used to think that if it only treated half that number of mounds, say 80, it would still be a good deal. Let's say each can only killed 40 mounds. It's still a good deal. I could kill 200 mounds (5 cans) for a little more than $40. However, I was only able to get a little more than 100 mounds out of five cans, and only 20-plus mounds out of five cans. Per can, there are 25 mounds. As a result, br>br> It works, but unless you only have tiny mounds, it takes a lot of it to get the job done, so each can doesn't go very far. That earns you a two-star rating. I'd give it a 5 if it wasn't for that. br>br>At the previous price, it was less expensive than drenching the mound with a Bifen solution, as previously mentioned. Because of the Orthene's steep price increase, drenching is now less expensive, but Orthene is more convenient and faster for treating large mounds. So, before I buy anything else, I'll look for other options.
In the past few weeks, I have noticed insects in our kitchen area that might belong to smaller bugs that were left over from their ordering. After doing some research, I received the little from the supplier I was ordering and was happy to experiment with it. Next day, I was first waking.
