Roach Bait Vendetta Plus Cockroach Gel Bait (4 Tubes)

Questions & Answers

How does the IGR work if the bait is poisonous (abamectin)? Where does IGR fit in if the insect is killed?

That is an excellent query. It takes about a week for the abamectin to take effect. In the meantime, because they eat each other's feces and dead bodies (I know, gross), the roaches spread the bait (containing abamectin and IGR) to other roaches. br>The IGR operates on a much lower scale, at parts per billion. Even if there isn't enough abamectin to kill them, a little gets back into their hiding places and prevents them from reproducing. br>I like to alternate this with fast-acting baits such as Maxforce Magnum or Advion. The fast-acting bait kills roaches in 24 hours or less, resulting in a quick knockdown but the possibility of stragglers. After that, I follow up with Vendetta and three other people. To obtain long-term results, wait seven days. br>I hope that this information is useful. br>Entomologist br>ePestHero br>Joe br>Joe br>Joe br>Joe br>Joe br>Joe

Is it true that the big roaches aren't going to eat it?

This product is extremely effective against German roaches. I recommend using Demon WP to get rid of the "big roaches."

When I first start putting this gel out, do I put dots in some places and streams in others? What is the best way to put this gel out so that it works well?

Dots, but spread them out over a large area of the house. Anywhere roaches can get to but your pets and young children can't is a good place: behind the stove, fridge, in closets, behind the washer and dryer, and anywhere else roaches can get to but your pets and young children can't is a good place. Keep the dots small because they will dry out and you will need to go back and replace them with fresh gel dots from time to time. The length of time it takes for the gel to dry depends on the humidity and temperature in your home, but once it does, the roaches will find it less appealing. Close off sinks, tubs, and shower drains where roaches could climb down to the traps and get water, and empty and dry pet water bowls each night so they won't be a source of water, making the gel bait even more appealing.

You won't believe how much of a difference there is! For almost a year, I've shared my home with German roaches
5/5

I have a slew of obnoxious neighbors, and they keep bringing more in. I had stopped feeding wet food and had gone to great lengths to keep them out of the cat food, as evidenced by the photos. br>I tried everything that was natural. Herbal sprays, borax, and DE They were ineffective. Spraying was not an option for my landlord. I watched them party on top of each bait after he brought a box of Combat baits. Every night and every morning, my kitchen was infested with roaches and their waste. It was necessary for me to scrub everything once more. Advion was purchased and three tubes were used. I bought a box of Gentrol and only used half of it. I purchased a can of Aqua Net as well as a lighter. But, before I went completely insane, I decided to give it a shot. br>I started putting this stuff around my teeny-tiny apartment about a week ago. I'm able to cook for the first time in a year. I can drink coffee from a regular cup rather than a thermos. At night, I don't have any roaches crawling on me. In the shower, they don't run up my leg. br>This isn't to say I haven't seen some. I do, but I have obnoxious neighbors who bring them in from their obnoxious friend's house. Vendetta has made a huge dent in the roach problem, in my opinion. This is a huge win in my book, especially considering they ate four tubes of Advion and showed no improvement. I've used one of the four tubes so far and will continue to do so. and making a lot of noise all night in the hopes that my obnoxious neighbors will leave. Vendetta, on the other hand, is a film that I would strongly recommend. It most likely saved my life. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. Now that it's June 6, I'm seeing a significant decrease in the number of roaches. Although this gel bait dries quickly, I have been applying fresh dots around my apartment every two days for the past two weeks and am still on the first tube. I'm finding roaches that are both dead and sick all over the place. I can finally feed the cats wet food without having to hold a fly swatter over their bowls. A huge step forward!.

It's incredible! This received a five-star rating because it did a fantastic job! When we bought the house, we inherited roaches and began seeing them 1-year later
3/5

It's been two weeks since we've been in our new place. A professional pest control company made two visits to our home, which was a complete rip-off. We told them we had roaches left over from the previous owners, and they sprayed a very thin line of Talstar, a professional strength pesticide, but that was it; it did nothing. We told them we had roaches left over from the previous owners, and they sprayed a little Talstar by the back door, but that was it; it did nothing. When the same thing happened the following month, we fired the company and began investigating the problem. I spoke with a professor at a university who has been publishing research papers on roaches since 1966, and I doubt many people are as knowledgeable about them as he is. br>br>Step One: To make this gel more appealing to roaches, do a thorough cleaning of the house, including behind the refrigerator, toasters, under and around the stove, and removing as many food sources as possible. br>br>Second Step: Remove all water sources at night, which means emptying and drying pet water bowls, drying sinks, tubs, and showers, and covering sink, tub, and shower drains (and any others) so roaches can't climb down into the water traps to get water. Porcelain toilets should be too slick for roaches to climb, but if they get in, they won't be able to get out, which isn't what you want; instead, you want them to eat the gel and return to the colony (more on that below). So clean the sides of the toilets and make sure there's nothing the roaches can grab to climb up. br>br>This is a SLOW-acting poison, which is exactly what roaches require. This roach killer kills the roaches in about a week, which is a plus, as I'll explain later. Adult roaches are the only ones you see, with the occasional sighting of a nearly full-grown sub-adult roach. The younger roaches and nymphs (baby roaches) are never seen because they all hang out back at the colony. Frass, or roach poop, is the main source of nutrition for these roaches. Because roaches have long digestive tracts that take 72 hours for food to pass through, and this gel takes about a week to kill the adults, the frass is eaten by the colony, passed as frass, and eaten again, and the colony continues to spread. As the colony's first roaches die from the poison, other roaches eat the dead roaches, ingest the poison, and spread the disease once more. All of the roaches will eventually die as a result of their exposure. br>br>Second Part: The IGR - Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) is a substance that inhibits the growth of insects. I raise roaches (Dubia roaches) for my bearded dragon, and the adults give birth about once a month, with 30-35 offspring. There are 40 nymphs (baby roaches) in total. It takes about 6 months for these babies to reach adulthood and sexual maturity, even with plenty of food, water, heat, and humidity. I'm guessing that most roach species look alike. Anyway, the IGR works at a very low concentration, down to parts per billion, so as adults poop at the colony and other roaches eat it, then they poop and it spreads more and more, eventually all of the roaches at the colony are ingesting this IGR, and if the roaches do not progress in their growth cycle, they do not become sexually active adults, and since the adults are the ones eating the bulk of the gel and When the adults die, the smaller roaches eat the dead roaches and ingest the poison, which causes them to die, and then they are eaten by other roaches who ingest the poison, which causes them to die, and so on. br>br>As a result, you'll need a slow-acting poison rather than a fast-acting poison. The adults are killed by fast-acting poisons, but the colony continues to grow, and the young adults mature into adults and begin mating, and the cycle begins all over again. And, because the IGR is present in the poop and the sub-soil, Adults and nymphs continue to eat and poop IGR; however, they never reach sexual maturity and die as a result of the poison. To keep roaches at bay in the future: br>br> You may have seen pest control companies spray a small stream of pesticide around houses in the past; this is a product known as Talstar. The active ingredient in this product is Bifen- IT is the title of a book that is also available on Amazon. That small stream is ineffective and serves more as a show than a means of pest control. According to the label, you should spray at least 2 feet up the side of the house and at least 3 feet out into the lawn around the base of the house so that any insects coming to your house will have to crawl through several feet of this product before reaching the house, preventing future roaches, ants, spiders, and other insects that no one wants inside the house from crossing your lawn and entering your house. This is something I personally spray all over my lawn and in my flowerbeds. If you lay this out across your lawn before the weather warms up enough for bugs to emerge, you'll have a protective barrier in place when they do. This stuff lasts about 90 days in the sun and rain, so I apply it when the temperatures are no longer below freezing at night, then again about 90 days later, for a total of 270 days, which is more than enough to get me through the summer and back into winter without bugs crawling across my lawn to my house. I haven't had a single roach problem since I started doing this. br>br>Bifen-Bifen-Bifen-Bifen-Bifen-Bifen-Bif It's applied with water, and once it's dry, humans and pets can return to the area where the pesticide was used. Because I'm OCD, I use this a day or two before the rain and keep my daughter and dogs away from the area until it has rained once. However, when you consider that this is used to kill small insects that weigh less than 100,000th of what a human does, and insects are constantly cleaning themselves with their mouths and ingesting this product, whereas people normally wear shoes and do not wash with their tongue, instead bathing and rinsing everything down the drain, it is even safer in that regard. I like it because it allows us to enjoy our yard without being bothered by bugs, and it prevents ants, spiders, and roaches from crossing into our lawn and entering our home. I also spray the inside walls of my crawlspace, as well as the columns, once a year because ant colonies can live there and still gain access to the house.

When I had family and friends over, the roaches would crawl around as if they were my furbabies
5/5

When we first moved in, the kitchen was infested to a moderate degree. We didn't deal with it immediately. I eventually grew tired of having little nasties in my kitchen while I was preparing and cooking. When I had family and friends over, the roaches would crawl around as if they were my furbabies. It was time for eviction, so I declared war! We were going to hire pest control, but I didn't want all of this poisoning in my house, especially with my five fur babies. I did some research and found this product recommended by pest control companies as well as other similar products, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. First and foremost, let's get started. Everything was taken out of the cabinets, the nasty roach poop was cleaned up, and everything that was boxed was placed in a gallon zip bag. Because roaches live in boxes, we had to get rid of them from our kitchen. Every night when we closed our kitchen for the night, we used Lysol to clean it. I didn't use the sink because it was too wet. I wasn't sure what to order, so I went with Advion gel and Gentrol. Gentrol stops the cycle of reproduction and reinfestation by poisoning them with the gel. We applied it as soon as it arrived in the mail, and the roaches were VERY attracted to the gel; I was blown away! We kept it up for a few weeks until we noticed dead roaches, but the roaches were still there and I felt like they were still reproducing. I knew I needed to give it more time to work, but the roaches weren't as attracted to the gel as they had been in the past. It takes place! So I looked into another option and decided to go with this one. Venetta Plus contained the same ingredients as "Gentrol" in the gel, so I combined it with Gentrol that I already had on hand. The greater the number, the better. We applied, and I discovered a large number of dead roaches in my cabinets, which I had to clean frequently. This impressed and satisfied me more than anything else! It's been almost three months since there have been no roaches in the house. We don't have to take anything out of the box to put it in gallon bags anymore, which saves us a lot of time. We'd see one or two roaches here and there, but it was better than finding them all over the kitchen. We've won the war because there's no more poop in my cabinets!.
