Questions & Answers

Is it okay if I just put it on the deck rail and let them eat it?

The issue is that the delicious Peanut Butter smell attracts all of the neighborhood animals, including birds. Poison isn't picky about who or what it kills. Controlling the environment in which the item is placed/eaten is part of responsible use. Poison is a gift that keeps on giving; eating a poisoned food chain animal can affect many larger predators. Please exercise caution and maintain a healthy level of safety. I dread to think what could happen if a small child were in charge.

Is it also going to kill the squirrel?

Oh yea

Will possums and racoons be killed by it?

I have not used this bait for possums or raccoons, but I am very familiar with the product and its ingredients, and it is effective against small animals.

Is this product effective against voles, or should I go with the gopher product?

Voles eat this like candy, so get some gopher product.

Despite my dissatisfaction with the solution, I am relieved
4/5

My property was being ravaged by ground squirrels. They were digging up a lot of dirt from under my house and steps. I tried everything else first, including two animal traps, before buying this bait out of desperation. Because the warnings make you think the stuff is radioactive, I hoped a single block or two would suffice, but in the end, I tossed several blocks into every hole I could find and it worked. Despite my dissatisfaction with the solution, I am relieved. I went through the same thing with gophers a few years ago, and I ended up having to use bait for them as well. Bottom line: this stuff works, and while you may object to the final step, I can't think of a better way to get the job done. With the ants here, I finally called the pros, who came out right away, but the insecticides make me nervous (insecticides caused my mother's brain cancer). )br>br>Just to be clear: This bait will undoubtedly work, but anything else that might eat it will vanish from the vicinity of your home as well. It's a last-ditch effort that pays off. PS: It was necessary for me to do so. Please don't judge me based on what you read!.

This method is effective against large roof rats
5/5

I tried the store-bought rat bait, but the rats didn't seem to care for it, and I still had rats. Roof rats have taken up residence in my palm tree in the backyard. How did I figure that out? Because one of my Arlo cameras (another fantastic product) is mounted on the tree trunk, I have video of the rats emerging from the tree at night. So I strung three bait blocks about five feet up in the tree and pointed my cameras at them to see exactly what and when was eating the bait. Several rats nibbled the first night. There were more by night two, and they were chowing down on the peanut-flavored bait. I made sure I had bait wired to the tree every day before dusk. My cameras began to alert at dusk on nights three and four, and they continued to do so until dawn. I know there were at least three rats in the tree, if not more, because three of them were going after the bait at the same time, and the cameras didn't start going off until early in the morning on day five. I also discovered two dead rats after sweeping the yard. One rat was killed today. I believe there are still one or two live rats in the tree, so I'll keep baiting and watching for a few more days. There was nothing else that could be done to get the rats to leave. I experimented with glue traps, rat traps, and bait that was not harmful to the environment. These rats are large and intelligent, and they are not interested in that type of food. This peanut-flavored bait, on the other hand, is effective. After that, I'll set up a few bait boxes in the yard with peanut-flavored bait in the hopes of catching any newcomers. br>br>After a week, there were seven rats dead. So that no birds or other critters eat the bait, I wire it to the palm tree at dusk and remove it at daylight. The rats, on the other hand, gorge themselves on this during the night. Because I have it on my Arlo video, I am certain.

Crush the blocks with your fists
3/5

The mice will eat the product more easily if it has been crushed. It's a lot quicker than eating a block of ice. They eat it, but they keep coming back for more. br>br>UPDATEbr> In just one or two nights, the bait is gone. The mice continue to prowl the area. I did come across a few corpses, but they just kept coming. Their next product, the TOP GUN, is one that I recommend. They vanished in three days as a result of this! They went out to eat and didn't return.

Updated: It appears to be a long-term effect, and it was delivered on time, but it did not work for me
4/5

All of the blocks have remained untouched after a week in the bait stations in our backyard. Mice are scurrying around the bait stations, which I can see. It appears that rats and mice aren't particularly interested in it, or that they aren't particularly hungry. We don't have any food outside, but who knows what our neighbors have; the bottom line is that it didn't work as promised. br>Recent changes: On the blocks, I noticed bite marks. Something appears to have eaten it at long last. We haven't seen any dead rodents in our backyard recently, but there appear to be fewer activities. Changing to a three-star rating. br>Recent changes: It does exactly what it claims. Consistency and patience are essential in this situation. Concentrate on something other than the battle. You will win if you concentrate on the war.

This seems to appeal to whatever lurks within my confines! For several years, we've had problems with rodents getting inside our walls during cold weather and gnawing on the wood (thus destroying our home)
5/5

We hired Critter Control to help us seal up the house, which slowed but did not stop the critters. We're hearing critters in the walls of various parts of our house again now that the cold weather has arrived in Michigan. I recently ordered a pail of this "JT Eaton 704-" as a last resort (hopefully). For Mice and Rats (Pail of 64), PN Bait Block Rodenticide Anticoagulant Bait, Peanut Butter Flavor". I put 5 cubes of this bate into my crawl space on the day it arrived. I opened the crawl space door two days later to inspect it. I was overjoyed to discover that all five cubes had vanished. So I put another 7 cubes inside the crawl space at that time, and when I checked again the next evening, I was pleased to see that all 7 cubes had vanished. That happened this evening, so I went back into the crawl space and placed seven more cubes. I'm not sure what my check will show tomorrow, but I plan to keep feeding this to whatever critters they are for as long as my supply lasts, after which I'll order more and keep feeding them as long as they take it. Hopefully, they'll stop taking my bate one day, and there won't be any more gnawing inside my walls. So far, I'm pleased with how well this product has worked for me, and I would recommend it to anyone who has a rodent problem that hasn't been solved by other methods. br>br>The product says it's for rats and mice, but I don't think that's the case. We've never seen rats around our country house, and the gnawing we hear in the walls is too loud to be mice. Squirrels, Groundhogs, and Chipmonks abound in our area, and I believe these are the critters we're dealing with. So I'm hoping that this product will help us get rid of whatever it is that is bothering us.
