Although the kit includes four tubes, it does not include a plunger (tube pusher). Separately, I had to purchase a plunger.
Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry! The metal tip is intended for use in areas that are easily accessible. The plastic tip, on the other hand, has a little more give and is designed for cracks and crevices where a little more bend is required.
Cracks and crevices are good places to look for it. Alternatively, you could simply put the cat in a cage.
I've never tried it on fire ants, but it seems to work on every other type of ant I've encountered. I'd look into your ant species further. Do it as soon as possible. Best wishes to you.

I had a large carpenter ant infestation in two of my mature oak trees, but I didn't notice the large black carpenter ants in the fallen part of the tree until I lost a large branch. These ants are very active at night, according to my research. Armed with a flashlight, I went out to my trees around midnight and was astounded by the activity I saw; these ants had several satellite colonies around the base of the trees and were running a line up and down the trunks, thousands of ants on both trees running from top to bottom, my trees were infested and these ants had obviously been there for a long time. My knowledge of ants is that they will eat either sugar or protein, so I ordered both types of bait, Max Force and I began my attack in late August of 2019 when I placed a small amount of Advanced Granular out and observed that the ants ran to it almost immediately and carried it away. Subsequent applications made a few days apart did not have the same effect as the first; the ants would almost ignore it, but by morning I would notice some bait taken. I started putting small dabs of Fleet near their lairs at the base of the trees and beside their travel lanes on the trunk of the trees, assuming the ants were suspicious of the granules or had simply changed their taste to sugar. I was able to completely eliminate the ants in the first tree after about two weeks. There was no trace of it at all. Instead of thousands of ants running up and down the tree, the second tree with the larger infestation had a noticeably smaller colony size but was still very active, so I applied the bait in the same areas about once every week and a half. Spot checks every week or so showed the ant activity getting smaller and smaller, with only a handful here and there instead of thousands of ants running up and down the tree. The ant colony in the second tree was eradicated by the end of October 2019, and I have yet to find a single ant. If you have a carpenter ant infestation, as long as they are feeding on sugar, this will get rid of them. It's not a one-shot deal; be persistent and place the bait near, but not in, their travel lanes. Because this is a slow-acting bait, the colony will eventually be wiped out. I should also mention that the bait may occasionally come out of the tube a little liquidy; this isn't a problem because the ants don't seem to mind. Remember, you only need to place pea-sized drops in a few different places where they roam. It took two and a half of the four applicators included in the box, as well as two months, to eliminate all of the ants. If you found this review to be helpful, please mark it as such. Good luck.
This, when combined with advance 375 granular, will destroy a carpenter ant nest in three weeks. In any case, it worked for me, and I have a step-by-step guide in my advance granular review. br>br> I tracked three nests on my property, as well as the main nest in a nearby tree, for a total of four nests; you must go out at night and actually follow them! br>Once I knew where they were going, I put 1 or 2 tablespoons in their path as close to the nest as I could get it. As soon as you put it down, they turn right around and start eating it and carrying it away. I did this for 3 nights until I noticed the bait wasn't disappearing as quickly.

dropping drops I put about four at each spot where I was putting the granular, and three weeks later, hallelujah, they're gone! br>so the granular for protein attraction and the max bait for sweet attractionbr>best of luck if you have ant problems.
Carpenter ants had taken up residence in the rafters of one of my house's bedrooms. They ate the sheet until it was completely gone. rock ceiling, walked into the room, and went straight to the kitchen, where cat- Open bowls of food are used. I took a section of the ceiling down, put one of the syringes in a bait cup, and hung it up there. The hole was covered by me. Hundreds of dead ants were found on the window sill and on the floor the next day. I replaced the bait once a week for the next two weeks. This morning, there are a few dead ants on the window sill. I'm going to vacuum them up and re-bait them. I'm guessing there aren't any more ants, so I'll be able to fix the ceiling. I thought this bait was a little pricey at first, but I've since learned that it's well worth the money.
Carpenter ants were a major problem in my home. I spent thousands of dollars on Orkin, but it had no effect. I bought Maxforce out of desperation after researching what would kill them. THE PRODUCT IS SUCCESSFUL. I'd been using it to keep them at bay for years (I live in the middle of the woods, and the woods are densely forested). You must be PATIENT. br>br> It won't kill them right away, and the ants will appear to be oblivious to it. That, I believe, is due to the fact that each ant has a job, and if it isn't theirs, they will note it and move on. The poison will be gone by the next day (I've seen several of them gobble it up on occasion). The ants were gone in three days. Because the ants will reappear, you'll need to put more out. I believe these are the newly hatched ones who have not yet been poisoned. I won't see any more after these leave until the next group emerges from the woods. For them, I set up more bait. I've been doing this for years, and I no longer see ants inside or outside my house.
It reduced the carpenter ant population but did not completely eliminate them. After a week of seeing them still there, the Maxforce Gel was brought in. There were a few spots where I saw them coming in and out, so I put it down in all the crevices and under the baseboard there. I didn't see another ant from that spot again. That's how it's been for three days now. In the box, you'll find four cartridges, a plunger for pushing the gel through the tube, and a couple of nozzle attachments. The instructions on the box for engaging the plunger had to be for a different product because they were illogical. I had my wife, who has a Ph. D. , read them to see if there was anything I was missing, but there wasn't. Simply insert the plunger into the tube, unscrew the blue screw cap, select the desired nozzle, and begin pushing the gel out. I practiced on a napkin before inserting it under the baseboard and cracks, and it came out quickly. EDIT: br>br> After a few days and two applications of the gel, the carpenter ants remain unaffected and continue to return. I couldn't get it to work for me.
