Well the sf4000 in veg you don need to run them at 100% probably only around 50% or less so it stays cool but if u crank it up to 100% in flower it will
Unless the old model's power supply is replaced, the old model lacks the ability to connect in series.
These are made for growing plants indoors. I wouldn't use them in my greenhouses as supplemental lighting because they have to be mounted at a height of 24". Because of their form factor size, they would cause sunlight blockage at 36" above canopy for optimal PAR/PPFD. In my greenies, we use double ended MH's that are about 6'- 8' tall. In veg, 8' above the canopy, and 4'- 8' above the canopy in flower. During flower, the height is 6'.

Second, I am not compensated for my reviews, and Spider Farmer is not compensated for this statement. I do my homework on everything I purchase. I don't just do research; I read every review, comment, and question about a product I'm considering purchasing. I try to devote a few hours to researching the items I intend to purchase. This light, for example. br>br> br> I had a lot of money to spend on a light. I looked at a lot of lights that cost between $100 and $1200. I chose Spider Farmer as my character. I went to the weed forums on the internet to see what regular people had to say about lights. Spider farmer left a lasting impression on me. There wasn't a single negative comment made about them. not one. br>I was so convinced that this was a fantastic light that I ordered a second one before receiving my first! I was that certain. br>br>When I got home, I was like a little kid and opened the box right away. When I first unpacked it, I dashed to the nearest outlet to see how bright the light was. I only have one word to say: Holy Crap! The whole room lit up like one of those Sky Tracker lights you see in grand opening parking lots, lol. Thoughts. br>br> br>The light does not have a fan, but if you can find a cheap clip-on fan, simply aim it over the light's ballast. It won't even reach a comfortable temperature. The lack of a fan isn't a problem. It is extremely quiet due to the lack of a fan. br>This light, which is 12" above your plants, is unnecessary. It makes no difference whether you place it 12" or 30" above your plants. It is VERY VISIBLE! It's in a 2x2 tent with me, and it's incredibly bright! br>br>If you think this light might be a good fit for your plants but aren't sure. Allow me to state unequivocally that you would be foolish not to purchase this light. br>br>Whoever the person (people) behind the name Meizhi appears to be a wonderful person. I've gone over the questions and comments several times, and Meizhi is right there, answering every single one of them. Great lighting! br>br> Great Price! Excellent Customer Service!br> It pays to do your homework!.
This light is currently serving as a seedling/clone light for me, and it is doing an excellent job. At 16", it only needs 92 watts to produce 450 micromoles and will hold 400ish in a 2x2 area. That's a lot of light for only 92 watts on the wall, and it's ideal for a small flowerbed. Anything over 400 will produce good buds during the flowering period. It makes use of Samsung diodes and Mean Well drivers, both of which are industry leaders in LED hardware, so it should be extremely dependable. I made a review video about it on my YouTube channel with wattage and PAR testing, and I liked it enough to want to use it in my own grow. I get a lot of lights to try out, but this one is one of the best for the wattage. LED technology is improving all the time.
SF2000. The SF1000 v2 was then released. SF4000 (includes dimmer). And now I've tried out the SF1000's third version (2021). The dimmer box is included in the latest version, as well as a new LED layout. More diodes, this time spaced out in a different pattern. HOW IT HAS CHANGED: br>br>THE WAY IT HAS CHANGED: br>br>THE WAY IT HAS CHANG A dimming box has been added by Spider Farmer, which is a plus. They've changed the diode coating process to one that isn't as rubbery. From 218 to 270 diodes, the number of diodes has increased. In addition, the effectiveness has improved. br>br>However, the efficacy was never greater than two. Spider Farmer claimed a value of 7 umol/J. And it's now down to only two. 41 or 2. At 120V, there are 46 umol/J. The original price was $140. The price then rose to $160, despite the fact that the output remained unchanged. And they've been known to take advantage of customers by imposing exorbitant price increases. The fact that this latest revision operates at only 91 or 92 watts was my biggest disappointment. This reduces the Total PPF to 222 umol/s as shown in the attached 3rd party lab report. However, that is only 89% of what Spider Farmer claims. When comparing the PPFD readings of v2 and v3 of this model line, you can see the overall reduction in PPFD readings. Spider Farmer requires a 100W light that runs at 100 watts after warming up. Maxsisun has the ability to complete the task. ViparSpectra has the ability to do so, as well. Naturally, the PPE of their LEDs is lower. However, what about Atreum's HYDRA- 1000? Because of the increased operating power, that light has a significantly higher PPF. It also meets or exceeds the SF1000's PPE requirements. br>br>At the very least, I'm forced to deduct a star because of this: Samsung LM301B diodes are no longer used in the light. That doesn't make it a bad product, but Spider Farmer has been touting this revision as having LM301Bs for the past three and a half months. However, this is not the case. They've been deceiving their customers! To get rid of old stock, they should have created a separate SKU. However, they have been selling both old and new models with the same product ID. They accuse competitors of selling counterfeit Samsung diodes while themselves doing the same. Not cool. br>br>This light used to get five stars from me. However, it was bought in March 2021 and is more of a downgrade than an upgrade. Photons are what growers are looking for. That is exactly what our plants require. At this price, this light simply isn't good enough.
After only one week, three fresh transplants, 24" above canopy, my node spacing is like something out of science fiction, they are so close it's amazing. This light has a special place in the hearts of the ladies. I've done this strain before with a 600watt mh/hps setup, but so far this little light is knocking on the door! I'm going to order another to see what happens in a 3x3 next round, and I can't wait! As if it were Christmas morning and you were a child.
I'm using one light in a 3x3 tent. In flowering, I have a blurple 600w that I run alongside. However, I am awaiting the arrival of a new spf1000 to replace the old one. Plants, too, are enamored with the light. Solid construction, and I don't have to worry about my tent getting too hot, as these are much cooler than the older blurple LEDs. as well as being more quiet.
