Then we started getting false results. The device worked well for a few weeks before beginning to fail. The real temperature was closer to 70 when the thermometer read 90. A few days after I posted last, Vivosun contacted me and told me that a newer model of this product had been updated and that they were offering to send me the new model at no charge and that I did not have to return the old one. It's beyond the call of duty when it comes to customer service. I want you to know how much I appreciate you, A good customer service experience made me change from one to four stars.

My corn snake has a heating mat, so I purchased this to help control it. When set to 84°, it will heat up to 89° or even as high as 92° depending on settings. Although the enclosure displays these high temperatures, the temperature in the enclosure on a 1 inch piece of aspen substrate is 69°-70° 3 digital thermometers confirmed these temperatures to be 70°. It appears that the device's temperature probe is defective. I attempted to compensate by setting it to high 90s, but the temperature readings had been inconsistent for me to find a way to use it. It doesn't seem fair for a person to have to do something like that in order to try to recover I had to add a comment about Vivosun to my original review. After posting my comment on the website during the afternoon, Vivosun contacted me the following morning to offer a replacement unit and to ask how they could help. It sounds like a good thermostat with strong customer service, and I would not hesitate to purchase one.

The thermostat and six mats I purchased were both for my home. If you want to do it the same way that I did (do it at your own risk), then you should plug a six outlet surge strip into the thermostat and plug all your mats into that When I placed the probe into one of the seed trays, all of them were perfectly controlled. It worked well with Vivosun mats. I could not have been happier with the combination. Obtaining a 100% germination rate and having all my seeds germinate 4-4 in the pot was made possible due to this product With the mats, you will be five times faster. Simply set the thermostat and leave it alone, it was easy to use.

During a spring 2018 review, this is an update (at 02/18/2019) to the review from last year. They provided a replacement for my seeding trays that has been working great for the past two I have found that they stand by their products and are willing to make things right if there are any issues. I have included a previous review The item is one I purchased last year, in January of The purchase I made was for the older model, which has been redesigned and updated since then. Although there were some major problems with it, I didn't contact the seller at the time. When I was starting my seeds and looking for a new unit this year, I decided to write As soon as I posted the review, I received an email from the vendor letting me know they would replace the old unit I bought more than a year ago! A new unit was delivered to me today free of charge, and it is working smoothly. Even though anything electronic can go wrong sometimes, I am really impressed with this vendor and their willingness to go above and beyond.

If you are using a seedling heat mat, this is a must-have. Due to an errant seedling heat mat without a thermostat, a good number of my first round of seedlings died off or were prevented from germinating. There is not much to this thermostat, but it does its job. Don't assume your seedling heat mat will do the trick order one of these too if you do decide to use one. In fact, I had a germination rate of about 95% after finally breaking down and getting the thermostat. Despite the hardness of the Jalapeno plants, which I heard are notoriously hard to germinate, I've had 100% success with my Jalapeno plants. In regards to germination, the Brandywine Red was the most finicky I'll put that down to the seeds/type of plant since of the 6 or 7 seeds I planted, I was only able to germinate three. Everything else (the squash, the zucchini, the San Marzano's, the Sun Golds, the cucumbers, and the bell peppers) germinated beautifully! The heat mat I used with it was a really good one. The picture shows the seeds after they were planted on Day 5. The heat mat took off quickly, so it's pretty clear they were on to something.

The heating mat and this kit allowed me to ensure that the fig cuttings that I had purchased from all over the world would have all the conditions they needed to begin growing. In my experience, the package was opened a week ago and I opened it to test it. The temperature stayed at 77 degrees and would not go This happens because the thermastate turns my heating mat off, and I need the house to be at least 20 degrees warmer than my heater. Even though this product had some bad reviews, I purchased it anyways. I have one more defective one now. The process has caused me to lose half of my figs. The problem I have with it is that it won't work properly and if it did work it would be an awesome addition to propergate your cuttings or.
