Unless there are two inches of space between the reptile and the mat, it becomes a very hot mat with no temperature control. I wouldn't even think about placing a reptile on this without a spacer of some kind!
The plugs need to be plugged As far as other uses are concerned, it's a great product. You can use it to propagate seeds or ferment things.

I have sprouted all seeds except one kind that takes forever to germinate, no matter what I do! I grow my seeds in Jiffy Peat Pellets (with a dome) with a little pot. If the seeds say they take 10 days, don't plant them It takes 20 days for a seed to germinate, but it appears in only 3 days! I really like it! The only tip I can offer is to get an inexpensive "bubble wrap" style car windshield shade thingy (the metallic bubble wrap looking thing) and cut pieces from it to fit under your heat mat, if you'll have your stuff outside or in an otherwise unheated location. The heat mat does not lose a lot of valuable heat UNDERNEATH when it is placed on a cold surface or a wire shelf in a greenhouse that has no heating! 2) I ordered another set at the moment!.
It's been tough to get the soil temperature up for my lettuce seedlings, so I bought these. Here are some things to keep in mind before you buy. I. A. 1. The temperature on these things takes FOREVER to reach its full capacity. I would say it's literally longer than my car's seat warmer, and that thing makes you feel like you're waiting for light for an eternity. 2* B* B++ The problem is that even after it heated up, the thermostat didn't get hot enough for it to justify the other piece I bought. Most plants prefer it when the temperature is between 70 and 80°F In order to germinate, the temperature must reach 80 degrees. The temperature I estimate for this mat is not exceeding 80 degrees, especially when it is cool outside. It's not worth the money to buy a new All in all, if you can find cheaper mats, please do so. It is unlikely that a real difference will occur. In the event you are not able to, these are fine. Managing expectations is all you need to do. 1. 2. 3. It is obvious that this mat has dead zones. There are some areas where the temperature never rises. A portion of one of my photos is positioned in the upper right corner and about one inch in size. Because the plug will only accept a 5 inch strip, you can't use all of the space you thought you would have. Which brings me to this. 4* 3. Despite the size, it appears larger than it really is. As it is, what you ACTUALLY get with this mat is far fewer square inches than what they claim. I reduced the size of the product from 207 inches of heating space to approximately 188 inches between the dead zones on my mats. 5
. Plastic storage bags may seem like the best option, but they are made of strange, cheap materials. You will only get a short life from a cloth. The battery in my phone lasted for approximately six minutes after opening. The bag was opened to remove the mats, and the drawstring was used to close it. When I tried to put away the mats, the entire bag ripped down both seams by about six inches. It is now clear that I am no Hulk. When I open a bag, it basically rips in half. How does this happen? Ah, that's interesting.
This heating mat is not as good as other heating mats that I've used in the past. don't kinda stink but they do stink but at least they are better than nothing at least when they are plugged in I "feel" like they will help but I know they won't because I have old brands that are the same specs that don't sucked as bad. The items will stay with me, so no harm done.
I am so pleased with how these helped germinate my seeds. Despite only having planted my tomato seeds a week ago, they sprouted. We took a little longer with peppers, but it was not too bad. Although these do not have a thermostat, their heat is warm, but it is As compared to other similar products, this one is quite reasonably priced. Initially, I was going to write a separate review for each product that I purchased at different locations, but due to time constraints this is not Here is what the 10 x 20 looks like. It's great to have 75 sizes available. It contains 48 pieces. You should be fine with 75. Though the two look the same, the larger has a different sense of warmth. You can notice that the mat gets much cooler as you move further from the outlet.
Still not a fan, but now I am! It was a good purchase, I bought two of them I have tried all of the packs and they are all working just fine, with a higher germination rate than before. It seems that these trays are a standard in the industry because they use minimal power, are the right size and take up little space. There are no holes or cracks in the extension cords, so I'm confident they will last a long time. been labeled with helpful information as well as a reminder about keeping the blankets The only damage was that I spilled some coffee on it, but it did not This is something you should not try. It is, however, indicative of how durable it is. The more garden space we gain, the more I will likely buy next year.
great and are easy to use! To germinate a variety of seeds, including tomato, basil, pepper, apple, and lemon, I used them indoors and later outdoors in my garage. Having planted the seeds under a heat mat with a grow light over them, I put them in 12 cell trays. It took only four days for some seedlings to appear! I have found that these products are very effective in increasing germination speed and success, especially for plants that need a warmer growing environment. As I have done, you could also use these to get a head start on spring!.
This is a highly recommended read! I am very pleased to find that the two mats in the two pack are heating evenly Happy with the service. We were only a little disappointed in how tightly the mats were rolled up, which made it hard to flatten them Aside from that, it was very easy to install. My seed is watered by - As well as the starter trays, the soil is now at a pleasant lukewarm temperature. Exactly as described, the mats are a good size.
These are thermostatically controlled because I bought them. It was a great success for me to start seeds. With 3 years, I had a success rate of about 90% Seeds and onions from old plants are infamous for their incapability to persist for more than a year or their failure to germinate after two growing seasons.
