Questions & Answers

How do I change the temperature from celcius to Fahrenheit if I can't find the instructions?

I'm not sure what button you need to hold down but it will switch to set temp after 3 seconds. Hold the up button down until it flashes then press the button that says set temp.

This is now displaying an E2 code for the item I purchased. In what sense does this statement make sense?

There is a temperature of 108 deg F or more

What happens when the power goes off for a few minutes and returns? Does this thermostat retain its settings if the power comes back on?

As I said, I had left mine off for a month and when I turned it back on, it still had the same settings.

The probe of this item can be submerged in water, can it be used that way?

do not own one of these, but from what I know about seed germination, it should be submerged in about 1/2 inch of water if used for that purpose. The title description of the item states seed germination, so I'm assuming yes, but I don't own one and I don't know who the manufacturer is. Having said that, if I bought this product for seed germination, I would submerge it without thinking twice, and I would be furious if it broke due to me submerging it. Buying a swim suit you can't get wet would be like buying a swim suit that you can't wear.

I was very pleased with this purchase
5/5

I use it for a ball python enclosure, and it is a great way to keep the temperature in check. Whenever you use a heat mat, you should always keep the thermostat set to a comfortable temperature.

A simple process for setting It works perfectly with my zilla heat pad to keep leopard geckos warm
4/5

I like how easy it is It is too bad that it only has one temperature setting instead of a low temperature setting and a high temperature setting (if it drops below the temp set it will turn on and if it rises above it will turn off). The temperature is 91 degrees Fahrenheit. As the top of the heat pad is under the glass tank, the surface temperature is between 84-86 degrees F. The temperature of the 92 heat pad does not remain the same as it moves across) I have been using zilla heat mat so far and it is working quite well. Seeing as the probe is situated directly on the heat pad itself, I need to achieve a higher temperature to obtain a perfect surface temperature.

It's really great to have such a high-quality A couple of things to keep in mind The purpose of using this is to regulate a reptile enclosure, rather than to start *br>This thermostat has really got me excited! Great, the only thing that keeps it from being absolutely perfect is that the swings in temperature are too drastic for what I need it for
4/5

-T. J. A temperature drop of approximately 3 to 4 degrees before power is restored to the device is allowed. The thing is, I'm not using the device for its intended purposes, so I think it's totally fine for seedlings! Other than that, I am really impressed with the device itself. It's very easy to set up, maintain, and it's very efficient!.

An excellent thermostat for the money
5/5

It works as well as the more expensive "Jump Start" thermostat. (Edited to say I was so impressed I ordered 3 more units. )
Works just as well as it does with the jump start thermostat. I believe the electronic components are the same, but the housing has been modified. My reptiles are all handled using Jump Starts, which I have eight of. Yet this is a cheaper alternative to my old favorite The temperature fluctuates by about three degrees, but it looks pretty. The use of a new thermostat is recommended if more accurate temperatures are needed.

A terrarium is heated to a temperature within a 5 degree range when using an under tank heater
4/5

The product works well, but I find that the range of temperatures is wide. I am using it in a 40 gallon Exoterra Terrarium with a large reptile under tank heating pad that is about 7" by 5" in size. In order to test the thermostat, I positioned it on top of the glass (the mat once more is under the glass). The temperature was set to 90°F. As the temp fluctuates between just below 88F and about 92F, it appears to be really frustrating. There is never any stability in it and it is constantly changing. There is a concern as cats below 88 are not suitable for the leopard gecko since it needs belly heat to digest food and at the same time over 94 is too hot and dangerous. Upon investigating, I discovered that this thermostat is the cheaper kind, which does not modulate power but simply shuts the heater off when the temperature reaches a certain point and turns it back on again when the temperature drops. It's just that I was thinking that it would have a narrower temperature range. As for why it is happening, I'm sure it is because of the glass medium. When temperatures drop, and vice versa, they continue to fall until the heater can heat the glass again. You may need to replace this thermostat with one that modulates the power of the heater instead of the on/off/on type found here if you need consistent temperatures.

Have you heard? I'm not sure! Easy to operate & Great Customer Service
4/5

I ordered a NEW thermostat controller, but received an obviously old and broken one. A SOILED (food or water? The taste is yucky! You can submit your personal information and purchase details after you have submitted your request I sent a copy of the Amazon receipt to iPower, who quickly sent me another one - not soiled, although it was still scratched on the face when it arrived. Thank you for being so cordial and helpful, I appreciate it very much It was wonderful to work with such a responsive customer service team How great it is not to be compelled to fight for what I've paid for or been promised! It has been less than a week since I have used this thermostat, and so far it has proved to be very easy to use It has performed as advertised by the seller or manufacturer. In an insulated chicken coop of 4 cubic feet, I have a surge protector connected to the unit to control the heat-producing units - a dog and cat heat mat (90W), and a large heated bird perch (9W), set at 48 degrees F. It's easy to attach the thermostat control unit to the upright beam on the outside of the coop, since it was designed to fit on the convenient, weather protected upright. A screen protects the sensor while it is hanging A lower corner of the enclosed coop has a nesting area for the chicks. Ambient air temp is being read by the thermostat in the area where it is installed. An indicator light that indicates the unit is heating up The LCD display shows that the thermostat opens the circuit when the temperature is between 39 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit Temperatures between 40 degrees and 50 degrees As long as it is colder than 40 degrees, the two mentioned appliances do indeed provide heat. Approximately forty minutes after it begins the circuit, it closes The temperature should not exceed 42 degrees, preventing overheating A heat source for the enclosure and a heat exchanger Electricity can be saved by eliminating unnecessary It makes sense that this little 'heat' thermostat would prove to be valuable in a variety of applications where open circuitry relies on the precise temperature in a particular [It would seem obvious that opposite circuitry would be required for cooling. There is a need for a cooling thermostat. and closes This plug-in unit will switch off the electricity (power to) at one (1) temperature that you have set in the unit's digital thermostat and closes the circuit. This information is read by a sensor located in a specific place. Three-degree distortion) to a specific appliance (more than one appliance if using a multi-appliance A plug adapter or surge protector) and staying within the "total" You can even connect a large gooseneck type outdoor 3-way cable to the plug receptor on the unit It is possible to use a two-way adapter without interfering with either the sensor line or the power input cord, but it may prove too cumbersome and too heavy. The potential for dislodging exists. It allows me to use energy when needed - NOT ALWAYS!! My heating appliances can operate (use power) when they need it! Overheating caused by 24 hr or high constant temperature heat sources (my appliances) may be a problem I. Heating & cooling Stressing my chickens by acclimatizing them to the cold - not to mention, I was wasting time and effort The power grid. With low temperatures (Sept), high altitude, and good time management (both important) this particular unit seems to be the answer to a better management of my time as well as health, happiness, and safety. It's cool to have chickens (but not frozen)! Continuing to operate with current (admittedly short-term) consistency and effectiveness could lead to a worse future It's a top-of-the-line thermostat that's worthy of being praised! In case I do not, I will report back with another honest update & There has been a change in accommodations in the coop!.

It arrived in a timely manner and performed as expected

Leopard gecko rack that you can make yourself! A DIY Leopard Gecko rack that I built for my son was made with this. It is easy to use and works well for controlling Heat tape controls about 12' feet of 4" Flexwatt tape to keep temperatures within ideal ranges. The product is a cheaper alternative to some of those reptile thermostats that are a bit more expensive so long as you are aware that the temperature fluctuates a little more with this type of Unit compared to a Herpstat or Vivarium Electronics Unit. As for my son's 28 qt tubs, this unit keeps them within a few degrees plus/minus 5 degrees for his 10 tub rack, which keeps the temperature within the ideal range recommended for his geckos, so we are satisfied. Our company has three or four of these units now, and we have been using them without any problems for over a year now.

I've used it to regulate the temperatures of my ball python heat mat and it's great, very cheap and quite as efficient as the ones I can buy at pet-stores
4/5

I was able to get decent results based on my heat gun, though it was not perfectly accurate. The device I bought I use to regulate the temperature of my ball python's heat mat, and it works just as well as the things marketed to reptiles, which are usually much more expensive. Please use caution if you need a very warm hotspot and intend to use lots of substrate or have a thick terrarium bottom, as it does not reach beyond 108 degrees Fahrenheit.
