(Their pictures and descriptions need to be updated! 1) MET will test to UL standard number 499 for MET-based devices The United States mark (US mark) and the CSA standard C22 are also used. The following two numbers have been removed. The Canadian C5 has 64 votes (Canada) A part of the mark that was met. Cold climate plants will grow well in this growing medium
5/5

As a Michigander, growing indoors during the cold winter months can be a challenge, especially if you use LED lights and you grow in a place that is not well-lit or heated. This means that it is warm (i. e. A basement that isn't finished). As well as allowing me to raise the temperature of the tent overall, since an oil heater outside the tent wasn't quite cutting it. I purchased these to help increase the temperature of the root zone for mature plants in five-gallon fabric Smart Pots. Since the quality of the fan seemed good and the price was competitive (not the absolute lowest price, but not the most expensive either), and the product descriptions were the most detailed that I saw online, I figured I should give these a try. In the same way, these mats hold a constant temperature of 90 degrees for a long time Despite the fact that the two mats I purchased have differing temperatures (not enough to be a problem for my purposes), there does seem to be a slight difference between the two. To keep the soil from getting too hot, I used two thin plastic saucers (the cheapest kind available) rather than one saucer. This extra few millimeters of space between the mat and the pot prevents the soil from becoming In conclusion, check the temperatures of your root zone and adjust the spacing between the mats and your pots accordingly, depending on the type of plants you are growing and the type of pots and saucers you are using. Two more are also on my list Moreover, the grow tent seems to be damp-proof and has an inch of foam insulation underneath it, so the temperatures seem to be steadier and warmer. A probe that I use to measure soil temperature gives me a reading between 40 and 50 degrees In addition, I noticed a 15-degree increase in temperature compared to what I was experiencing without the mats. In case your soil is getting too cold to support optimal growth, these are a great solution-especially if you'd like to use some foam board insulation to stop them from being directly affected by One thing I wish these mats had were temperature controls (ideally on a Wi-Fi controller so you can adjust the temperature easily on the go). It is possible to purchase controllers separately, but you can also purchase them as a bundle. Although it would be nice, for the price they're great. They do what they say they're going to do.

My Syrian hamsters will stay warm and alive during the cold winter nights with this product
5/5

In my experience as a hamster breeder with these devices, I had better keep my Syrians from trying to hibernate, since they are terrible at it and normally die during I will use the 48" x 20" to cover one shelf in my roll-out cabinet There is a small bit of overlap around the wire rack. The newer technology is smoother and heats evenly. I have tried other brands, but this is my favorite. Instead of keeping the heater on all night, I will continue to buy these. Keeping my hamsters living, healthy, and happy is hard. Anything that will reduce the cost of propane is a win for me.

I like it a lot
5/5

I like it a lot. You really cannot go wrong with any ac infinity product, I use it in my seed tent and have one for germination of seeds as well. On both of my flower tents and my veg tent I also run their line of fans equipped with the new Bluetooth controller. The quality of this product is very high, and the company is absolutely top-notch.

The system works as expected
5/5

To keep my plants warm for the winter, I paired this with an outlet/schedule that I had on hand. The system works as described/designed, so it does not require a full blown heater to get started.

This isn't a good idea
3/5

In the instruction manual and on the item itself, as well as on the box. As a general rule, 70-80 appears to be the ideal range There is a temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a problem with this heating pad it doesn't heat up. The temperature doesn't get that high. As a result, I've tried to keep the pad in a tupperware that's not much larger than the pad with the lid firmly sealed, and it never hits 80 degrees
after 24 hours, I've managed to get it to 78 degrees. I could only get the space at 7, which is the highest I have ever been able to achieve. For heating seedlings, I find that keeping the container in a warm room with my heating pad placed directly over the top of the seedlings is more effective. BROWSE THESE USELESS ITEMS.

"UL Listed" is not displayed on this mat at all! It seems likely that I ordered this mat because the product title indicates it is "UL Listed" and the images accompanying the product title include the UL number in smaller text below the "UL Listed" label
3/5

Despite the large "UL Listed" bubble and UL number appearing on the product I received, it had no UL certification. Mats with the "Comply with UL 499" label can be purchased. What I received does not match what they are selling, nor does there seem to be any indication that it is UL-listed. In case you weren't aware, UL listing is a process designed to ensure a product complies with certain safety requirements and is safe for sale or The certification pertains to multiple appliances in the home. In a seed mat, it states they are the only ones to be UL certified, and I am inclined to believe this is the case, or maybe I received an old inventory mat and the new ones are UL If it did not come with the listing on the mat, I would not purchase this mat again. As a result, I am revising my review, but only if I am able to verify that my mat is properly certified (there is an error on the UL label). In a nutshell Please note that UL Listed® E518635* is not applicable to the mat A mat is only listed as compliant with UL listing 499*- Despite what the product title, image, and description suggest, the product is not what it appears to be - The mat is not something I would purchase. If I was to obtain a mat, I would buy the only one listed by UL. Please note that *Shows only those certified with the "MET" acronym - I am disappointed.

This does the job the only downside is that you cannot The Biodome 40 I use is from Park Seed
4/5

A biodome of this size can house a few individual pots, so it's a nice looking setup. When you put it on for a while it gets quite warm. You might want to place something insulating beneath it next to a cold countertop or table instead of directly under it. The dish drying mat I use is terry cloth and it works. I wish I had an option to heat it up or cool it down, but in reality it is either It is a pleasure to see my little seedlings growing so fast. the weather has been cooler than usual so far in Michigan, getting them started in this warm climate is a must. Still As far as price goes, this is an excellent product.

According to the description, we received a UL-listed model
5/5

As expected, the item I received was UL listed and worked perfectly. Although some users complained about not receiving the correct item, I am very happy that I chose this There may have been others who received a unit that was not UL listed, but mine was as described and I received it on February 13, 2021.
