Tall plants are secured with these only when a stake is fixed in place. As part of this item, no stakes are included. There are a lot of bamboo stakes available at Lowes or at most nurseries that I like.

Among the things I used them for were holding dahlias, tomatoes, peppers, etc. along fences and stakes. In addition to working well, they can be reused. We're talking about 2020 here. But everything seemed to be okay in my garden, as far as plant support.
It reminds me of the old ties that came with yard garbage bags in the olden days. In spite of their security, the pots can be easily loosened or moved as the plant grows. It is quite likely that at the end of this growing season I will be able to store all of them and use them again the following As you may know, I have used a mesh tie to attach climbing vines to the lattice this year and have had no issues. I have used a mesh tie that slipped very easily if there was too much weight on it, but these have not done that. This is an excellent plant tie and highly recommend.
This product can be used to stake up flower spikes without using wire, which is what I do when I grow orchids. The pros of using it are how easy it is to use and how fast it is because no cutting is required. I don't have to worry about metal corroding on my plant because it's made of plastic. Easily adjustable and reusable, these garden ties will hold up to 50 pounds of weight. With the high temperatures we have in Texas (100's+ in summer), I expect them to last for many years in my garden even with the sturdy construction.
I have 3/4 of it in stock The wood steaks are one inch thick. My tomato vines are large, which is just likely the result of overfertilizing.
