AMES 2445000 Stainless Steel Hand Trowel with Ergo Gel Grip, 13-Inch, Multi

On the AMES website it is plainly stated, "we are committed to manufacturing our products in the USA. ". I received a trowel today that is marked “Made in China. ” as its message right on the handle. This is awful. It is typical of China to offer cheap products This is a quality product. It is disappointing that a company that advertises that their products are made in the USA makes such substandard products. There is even a rub off of the company mark on the Feelings of sadness.

Since I began using this tool a month ago, I have weeded my garden several times. Despite how much I enjoy it, I don't find it as helpful for what I am trying to weed as much as I would have liked. There are a lot of small oak trees coming up in my flower bed that is surrounded by a large oak tree that covers the majority of my front yard. I was hoping that the spade and prongs would be able to help me dig them up easily. There are little trees out there who are buttheads when it comes to digging the roots up. Usually the above ground part of the plant snaps There are two prongs on this tool, and it works great for weeds with a flat or horizontal base, such as dandelions, however I like weeds in my yard that attract It was great to have a little oak tree that didn't dig up or snap off when I used the saw. Despite the difficulty in sawing off the bottom, I managed to do so at least. I would say overall, this is the best tool I have ever used for general weeding. I can also have a bucket for collecting weeds and a seat to put all the things I need to carry in the garden in it. Now if somebody could make a bucket seat that has a pocket built into the back for weeds and an opening for this tool towards the front. perfect for me. It could even have a pocket for gloves and a cup holder for my phone and water. It is likely that Amazon already has something like this. I love it.

Despite the pictures looking great, I gave this product only 4 stars instead of 5 because the tip looked like it came to a sharp point, one of the features I absolutely desired. While it is not flat in person, the tip of the trowel is gently rounded, making it difficult to reach into tight spaces. As far as the trowel is concerned, it is of good quality, but to be fair I just received it and have only used it twice.

I finally got around to using this to dig out some tomato plants when Even used an auger to make the initial hole, I was basically scooping dirt. The distance between the handle and the base of the scoop also didn't bother me.

I find them to be ergonomic and easy to hold, good looking, of high quality, and they perform well as The other hand tools I own from Ames belong to me as well because I am an avid gardener. The soil scoop I had was not available, so I used my trowel to scoop soil, which is not feasible. Take advantage of this great deal! It will be a lot of fun! Tools from Ames are always worth the investment, and I have never been disappointed. This is a great recommendation!.

On March 3, 2020, I purchased this item from Amazon. It was my first time using it to dig a hole for a plant today. There was a snap in the handle. Refunds from Amazon are full and prompt. Customer service that's second to none.

It appears to be okay, but I purchased it because it was made in the US. I am very disappointed in the packaging which clearly states China. It will be returned as soon as I can.

It's been a long time since I bought this line of gardening tools. It is much safer on the hands, especially if you have arthritis or nerve problems. I also bought some extra scoops for bird seed and litter boxes, etc. These are much safer than typical scoops.
