For that price, they are cheap bonsai Compare that to the cheap sets I've seen. The fit and finish are much better. Although the blades aren't exceptionally sharp, they can cut well enough for a pair of scissors of this kind (bypass pruners, to me, cut better). The pair that I received had a bit of play in it, but they were still able to cut paper accurately and easily. I don't think these are a bad choice for most of us who are interested in aesthetics and don't want to spend $50 or more The only tool that works in ten out of 100 for $100 is a hand-crafted tool The quality of life has dramatically improved by 25%.
