In fact, this is not the model shown in the photo. I ordered it to have a spare pruner for my wife. My wife owns the same model as the one shown in the photo. There is a thumb lock on the model shown. In actuality, the original packaging for my wife's pruners bore the 130DX nomenclature, and I used that to search on Amazon to order the pruners. On the blade of the pruner I got is a model 130DX marked as such. All information on the packaging is in Japanese as it was purchased directly from a vendor in Japan. pruner does not have the same heavy duty feel of the original 130DX pruner. It has a lighter blade and cutting anvil, making it look less robust than the original 130DX pruner. The Amazon description shows the model with a thumb lock, but it does not come with the locking mechanism. Wire loops extend from the heel of one handle and are used to hold the handles in place. It's strange how things don't make sense A pin that inserts into the hole where a thumb lock would be and has a head attached that does not allow the pin to be removed. If the user is not careful, the pin could catch on the finger or possibly cut it if it has a sharp rim. Upon arrival, it took nearly 7 weeks by airmail, and that was the worst part!.

The pruner is almost as good as their top-rated pruner (heavy duty)
5/5

A part of my husband's frustration over yard work is taking it out on my gardening equipment. In the downspout of my favorite pruner last year, I found the blade rusted. In this year's case, it was sitting on wet ground under a A week after opening the package, one of the Coronas I had been using for years developed rust. I returned to Amazon and ordered another. The one you mentioned is en route back to you. According to the Amazon article, the best pruners can be found on their site, so I decided to have a look at the ARS pruners. Given that they are quite expensive, I thought it best to get this one to have as a backup, so I don't have to give tried them both out in the yard yesterday and found that there is little difference between them, which is surprising since they are half the price. The only noticeable difference is that the blades are a bit thicker and the handles thinner. The blades are made out of carbon steel, so they're likely to hold their edge for a long time, as well as resist rust. There was no force needed to use them, and they were very easy to use one handed. With just a few minutes of pruning, I had my Pommagranite tree in shape. In comparison to my old corona, I had a difficult time with branches that were too thick. These are suitable for branches up to an inch, and maybe more (if I cut them multiple times). Until about half an inch, these worked well, but I could not put them around branches larger than a half inch, and I have a lot. The rain forest I live in is a tropical rainforest, and the weeds can grow over 30 feet within a season. I probably need to use my saw more than I did in the past. It is something not many people (outside Hawaii) have to deal with. This seems like it would be a great tool for more routine garden It is recommended to remove trees up to 8 inches if you have to remove trees. In terms of look, both are nearly identical to.

Welcoming our newest loyal customer to ARS
5/5

It is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. All my pruning needs have been met by them since I switched. The HP-500 is a tool I use as a gardener It is common for me to carry a 300DXL (for lighter stuff (the majority of my work)) and these every day. HP-D comes along with The 310DX can be used for more specialized tasks. It's safe to say that ARS steel is the sharpest and highest quality steel for the price. Neither have I found anything better, nor do I believe I will ever find it. My two rules are that the knives come extremely sharp and stay that way for a very long time. There is no wire or metal. We should always oil our hands after using them. A fan of ARS so much that I have 4 pairs of HP-type shoes from them My decision was to purchase 45SE pruners due to the disadvantage it put me on compared to others This season is coming to a close, and I've been preferring the 130DX over my Felco F2s for the majority of my cutting. A quarter of an inch of cutting steel was used As if a hot knife was cutting through butter, 1/2 stems have been removed. It has been requested of me to give two pairs of these to my master gardener ARS's next step up into "heavy duty" is the drop forged high carbon 120S8 to replace my Felco F2s, which I have been so impressed with they just ordered them. (I should have gotten the 120S7 because the 120S8s are massive and open incredibly wide, even with Still, )
it isn't enough. It is ARS that dominates the market.

The Pocket Pruners are excellent for their weight and balance
5/5

Pocket pruners like these have become my favorites! Three pairs have been lost in my large garden, and I have still had a few pairs left. Every time I read it I keep re-reading it We have ordered these because they are the perfect weight and are well balanced for hands ranging from moderate to small. It takes some time to get used to me, because I'm petite and 4'10". Despite being light and cheap, they don't feel that way Due to their convenient size, I usually keep a pair of these in my dog walking bag or back pocket of my jeans, since I often walk through To keep the trails passable, I help cut back overgrowth. Also, I dislike blackberries because they scratch my skin. It would be nice if Amazon offered these in a color other than They might blend in with shrubs and the soil in the garden, which may be why they are so easy to miss. There is a red pair that I once owned and bought from a garden center, so I know they're around. You need to carry these in several colors, Amazon!.
