I can't think of any reason why it shouldn't be done.
Yes, of course. Aluminum is both a metal and a conductor of electricity. Is this even a valid query?

This product exceeded my expectations, owing to the fact that the area I needed it to pass through was extremely tight, and I assumed that it would break easily, as it does with many other vent hoses. I had a hard time getting it into that tight spot, so I turned, vented, and did all sorts of things that would normally cause vent hoses to break, but this one didn't. Yes, I had to tape it with foil tape in some places, but with the abuse I gave it, it was bound to break, but that wasn't the case with this vent hose, as I previously stated. Overall, I would purchase this product again if I needed it for another venting project.
I installed a portable air conditioner in my basement using this flexible duct. The 25-foot length was ideal for venting this 10,000 BTU air conditioner through a window.
It suits my needs perfectly. Although there are better options available, it is adequate for basic runs. I'd recommend it if you're looking for basic venting at a reasonable price; the clamps included are on the cheap side, so don't overtighten them or you'll strip them (as I did with one).
will not be able to maintain any sort of shape. This ducting will simply sag, making proper support impossible. It is completely useless, and you will regret waiting for it to arrive when you can get the same thing for a lot less money and it works just as well at your local store. You will not be able to use this garbage ducting if you purchase it.
The inside dimension of the flexible duct is too large for the standard 6 inch galvanized coupler, as you can see in the photo. The Coupler would not fit inside the flexible duct even after I cut it every inch around the circumference.
Tiny leaks cause minor issues, but this appears to be a natural occurrence as people get older. It's a great product, but it's prone to small holes. It has a good connection to blowers and can handle a lot of air at a high rate.
Extremely high quality and durability! Clamps are included in the package. The only difference is that INTENSE light, not pinhole light, shines through. However, the best ductwork for grow tents, lights, and other similar applications is to keep an eye on light leaks.
My ferrets are too big for the typical pet store play tubes. These vent hoses are an excellent substitute.
