You could do it, but I'm not sure how effective it would be. Because the white tape is so thin, it attracts regular flies who use it as a roosting spot when it gets dark. To catch the lantern flies, I imagine you'd have to hang a bunch of this tape from a tree, and it would also stick to other flying objects - I'd look for something made specifically for lantern flies, such as birds or bats.
Yes. Both sizes of rolls should be mounted with the same mounting brackets.
Ours are strung through pulleys above the stalls, so you won't be able to dismantle it by hand. To expose new tape, we simply wind them up. Every summer, we capture tens of thousands of flies. We can catch a couple of flies while winding the tape on those particularly bad fly days. This is a purchase that you will not be disappointed with.
To me, it appears to be the case. They've both taken up a spool to store their used tape.

PERIOD. In our livestock barn, where we keep show cattle, lambs, and goats, we use the entire system. The cattle are even washed every day and given a fly-repellent rinse. This product captures millions of flies, even if our barn is spotless. Within minutes of moving the spool to a new location, hundreds of dollars were generated. We've tried other options, and I can confidently state that this product outperforms them all. Initially, our veterinarian advised us to do so. We now tell others about it. Note: The mounting kit is also required in order to mount and wind the device. Use a professional mount instead of a do-it-yourself one! It's a sticky situation!.
Because this tape is extremely sticky, use disposable gloves when working with it. Flies will be stuck on it in minutes if you stretch it between two points. It needs to be refreshed on a regular basis because it collects flies and dust, but it works better for me than those hanging fly tapes.
Dakota, and we use the best trapping method for real fly issues. Fla. As a result, flies are constantly a problem. I started using Bonide/Revenge fly tape a year ago and was pleased with the results, but as I was hanging the last of the roll, I noticed a couple of flies landing on and then escaping from the tape. This prompted me to try another brand (Mr. Sticky), and the difference is palpable. It costs a little more per foot, but it's well worth it because you'll catch some HUGE flying insects that you won't find on Revenge. a few pointers Install as many linear feet as possible - In a three-stall row barn, I have about 160' of height. Set it as low as possible while still keeping it high enough to avoid animal contact. To make quick changes, purchase and screw up the small 35 cent spring clips at HD. When comparing dollars to the number of flies caught, this is the most cost-effective method. Flies are caught using a toxic method (and brand). Get a Bug-Out Bag as well. Use the salt gun to launch a two-phase assault!.
We have a barn, and this is the best product we've found for keeping the flies at bay. We muck and hose out the pens on a daily basis. I've tried other brands, but none of them compare to this one. a wise purchase.
It's a low-cost, simple-to-install, effective, and non-toxic way to keep flies at bay. toxic. I noticed flies roosting on the white fan cords at night 20 years ago, so after dark, I'd go out to the barn and spray them. When I first saw this product, I thought to myself, "DUH!" Why hadn't that occurred to me earlier? The worst thing I can say about it is that during peak fly season, the tape will become clogged with flies, requiring daily replacement. I'll notice a decrease in my fly population if I keep fresh tape for them to land on. This is a product that I adore and have been using for years.
We had a lot of flies in the house because we had chickens. It's incredible that I've only gotten 1 or 2 flies per week since I bought this:.
Flies had infested my barn. I tried every product on the market before stumbling upon this one. Why not, I reasoned. It's amazing how much of a difference it's made. I didn't make a mess, and my fingers didn't get sticky. It's extremely simple to set up. The 1000-foot roll lasted throughout the entire summer. Great for barns or any other location where flies or other flying insects can be found.
This is an awful product. I've never had a problem with Mr. Sticky in my barn. It was difficult to remove the wrapper from the outside of the roll because there was so much "glue" on it, and getting it into my system was a nightmare. I've never had so much of this stuff on me in my entire life. Normally, I have flies on the tape right away, but that hasn't been the case this time. We'll have to wait and see.
