  This umbrella base has a lot of weight behind it! It was ideal for keeping my umbrella in place beneath my outdoor table. My old one had rusted out, so this was a great replacement that was even more durable than the last hat I'd owned for years. I like how clean and modern the design is. Fits most umbrella poles and has a knob for tightening and steadying small ones. It does, however, include pole adapters in case they are required. My new umbrella base weighs 22 pounds, which is more than enough to keep the umbrella in place even in high winds. I had my deck in the shade and was ready to go after only a few minutes of assembly. I like that I don't have to use sand or water to make it.

When I opened this umbrella stand, I discovered that not all of the pieces were included! Not only that, but it was chipped on the top? It appeared to be fairly heavy-duty, but I was unable to test it. Now I'm stuck with an umbrella that doesn't have a stand. I was let down.

This umbrella base is quite appealing, and the wide and heavy base will keep an umbrella from tipping or blowing over. There is no sand or water to worry about with the 18" upright, which is both stable and easy to attach and detach (making for easy transport). On a windy day, however, it is insufficient to keep an open umbrella in place. In the event of a strong wind, always fold your umbrella and don't rely on any umbrella bases. Your umbrella will be ripped if you have a large base, and it will be tipped over if you don't close it if you have a small base. Overall, when folded, it performs admirably and is simple to transport.

This is perfect for my location, which is in a very windy area. It's very fashionable and attractive, and the sleek design allows it to be placed almost anywhere outside. This does a good job. It has a nice appearance and feels solid enough for most applications. It was simple to assemble and came with a wrench key in case you didn't have one of the right size; however, the first one arrived broken in half, but Amazon's return process was simple. The second one arrived in excellent condition, and the photos depict the finished product on the day I installed it. Don't worry about the small white spots on the photos; they're just bits of Styrofoam from the shipping process. They'll be washed away with the water. So far, my purchase has been satisfactory. I'll keep you updated if anything changes.

This item is ideal for securing an umbrella beneath a table. My only issue was that the bolt that came with it was too short to reach the spot on the tube where it was supposed to be attached. I didn't want to wait for something to arrive in the mail, so I went out and bought a replacement. With my base, I believe they used the incorrect bolt. What was depicted in the directions was not the same as what was depicted in the directions. Overall, I'm pleased with the product, which I hope will withstand the elements.
