The material is nice and thick, and it's also water resistant

This is a lot thicker than I expected. It's also water resistant, which I like! We live on the beach, and I believe this will protect the fabric of our umbrella quite well. When not in use, it comes with a case, and I love the telescoping wand for reaching over the top and putting the cover on.
