We needed a 96"x96" grey rollup patio shade, but there were few options available at any price range. We came across this one for a fraction of the price of others that didn't work, but it had no reviews. We decided to give it a shot because Amazon has such a great return policy. I'm happy to report that it's a fantastic value for money shade. It works flawlessly and was simple to set up. It's made of some lighter-weight materials, but for $70, what do you expect? It perfectly blocks the sun (and our neighbors) and, when combined with some sandbags we found on Amazon, it works flawlessly. The only drawback is that one of the decorative bracket covers was broken. We were fortunate in that we were mounting against a wall, so it didn't matter too much. I'm going to contact the seller to see if they have any more available. To cut a long story short, if you need a light duty, 8ftx8ft shade, this one is perfect. Take a chance on it.
The texture is fantastic. can see out, but it provides just the right amount of privacy. It was simple to set up. very well-made.
Unfortunately, some of the small plastic parts arrived broken, which is why I gave it a poor rating. I'll keep an eye on how the company handles the situation. My final assessment of this product will be influenced by customer service.
Two of the seven were installed. To block the setting sun, we installed 5' X 8' screens on the west side of our deck. These screens billow and clang against a metal railing when the wind blows at 10 mph. We used blue painter's tape to secure the bottoms to the deck railings. It had the desired effect. We live in NoDak, where a light breeze of 15 mph is considered a breeze. According to reviews on this site, using the supplied rings to secure these shades to a deck will cause them to blow away in any wind. Small sandbags have also been used by others. We adore these sun shades for their UV protection and hate to see them ruined. Ours are attached to a metal railing on the outside. I'm thinking about putting velcro dots on the shade's white bottom rail as well as the deck railing's bottom rail. My theory is that the vecro will hold up in light winds but tear away in stronger winds, preserving the shade. Is there anyone who has an opinion on this?.
This thing was delivered in a single, massive tube. The delivery man maneuvered it behind my pillar because it was taller than me. When I first saw it, it caught me off guard. br>br>It was fairly simple to set up. I used two 6x2 support planks to mount it on my pergola and hide it from view. Simply mount the shade by screwing in the mounting brackets. Setting up took 20 minutes for my brother and me. br>br>When it's needed, it blocks the afternoon sun, and when it's not, it's hidden completely. I enjoy having some openness in the late afternoon, and this allows me to do so. It does sway a little in the wind. br>br> As a result, you'll need to find a way to secure the bottom of your area when it's windy. On windy days, I use small detachable sandbags.
This is complete nonsense. BUYING THIS PRODUCT IS A MISTAKE! This is utter nonsense! Prior to its arrival, the first one was destroyed. Okay, maybe there was a problem with the shipping or the packing. As a result, I decided to give it a go. The second one was in excellent condition when it arrived. It was simple to hang and looked nice, but it disintegrated in the first small breeze! As a result, I had to re-glue the seams. The next breeze is completely finished. This is a waste of money; don't buy it!.
It does what it's supposed to do: it shields you from the sun.
The product arrived in excellent condition. The item arrived in perfect condition, and installation was a breeze. We use it on the inside of a screened porch to block direct sunlight that hits our porch around dinner time, making eating on the porch rather uncomfortable for anyone facing the sun or sitting in the sun's heat. This shade provides enough coverage to keep most of the light and heat out. It doesn't allow for a lot of airflow, but we have plenty of other places on our porch where we can do that.
