Is it possible to get a 1 out of this? A pole with a diameter of 5 inches?

The inside diameter of the Beachr is exactly 1 1/2 inches, according to my measurements. Your pole would probably fit snugly, but you wouldn't be able to tighten the screw all that much. Because my umbrella pole has a 1 inch diameter, there is more room to tighten the screw to the pole. I hope this was of some assistance.

"Full replacement warranty if any parts break!" they claim. Is this subject to a time limit? I read 30 days, which isn't a long period of time. ?

Hi there! For the first 30 days after purchase, Amazon offers a full refund. There were no queries. If anything breaks within the next year, we, as the owner of Beachr, will gladly replace your product.

So, according to the description, ABS plastic is stronger than metal. ?

I wouldn't call it stronger, but I would call it more appropriate for the application. ABS is a very durable material that has more "give" than steel. As a result, if your umbrella is anchored at an odd angle, rather than denting the metal version, it will spring back. Also, unlike steel, ABS will not rust after a season at the beach.

What is the size of the locking nut? original not found?

If you're referring to the screw that holds the umbrella in place at the top, I believe it's a one-of-a-kind item. The following are the thread dimensions: br> Screw length: 1.19/32" OD without thread, 5/8" OD with thread 25" (please note the addition. The number 5 is inserted into the handle. The threads have a square cut to them. 1/32 inch thread depth ~ 8 TPI. br>Handle portion dimensions: 75 inches in diameter and 1 inch in length Thank you very much. Don't waste your time with this; it's a piece of garbage that doesn't work. I've taken it to the beach three times for her, and each time the umbrella I put in it pops out of the ground and flies away, the last time it hit someone next to me. If I had to, I wouldn't even give it a half-star. It was a complete waste of money!.

This item did not perform or function as expected. The corkscrew only pierced the sand by a couple of inches. 3" and wasn't even close to being strong enough to support an umbrella.
