No, not at all. Both sets of mounting screws are included with the brackets. One is for wood, and the other is for use after using an impact drill to drill a hole. So, while you can mount in concrete, you must first drill a hole.
Yes, as long as you use a good 1/4" X? expansion anchor. (Depends on the thickness of the wall) A length of 2 1/4" should suffice. Look for a wedge anchor type. br>br> To drill the holes, you'll also need a hammer drill and masonry bit.
I'd start by getting new 1/4 wedge anchors, then a 1/4 bit.
They did a good job for me in cinderblock, so they should do a good job in brick.

Lag bolts are of poor quality. During the installation, three of the four snapped. I'm returning the entire kit because I'm not happy with it; the rating says heavy duty, but my installer is only 175 pounds and they snapped under his weight. This is a product that I would not recommend.
This thing is supposed to be heavy duty and support up to 1000 pounds, but one of the bolts snapped clean off while I was installing it. And I'm not a particularly strong person, so the fact that it just fell apart like that is pretty pitiful. I'm not taking it down, though, because it was a pain to set up, so hopefully the second one won't be as bad.
The hooks themselves are fine, but none of the hardware used to secure them is up to snuff. After drilling a pilot hole and screwing the bolts in with a ratchet wrench, two of the bolts completely snapped in half, so I didn't bother with the others. The fact that I have to go out and purchase bolts separately should be enough to merit a higher rating.
This did exactly what I needed it to do, but the item's title says " Hooks. " Carabiners" is mentioned in the title, but carabiners aren't mentioned in the description. Carabiners aren't included in the package. It wasn't a huge deal, but I would have gone with a different set.
For use with a hammock, you'll need larger carabiners. If you want to hang a macramé hammock, you'll need two extra large carabiners, as many other reviews have mentioned. The ones that come with them are 3 inches long, but they aren't long enough to fit through the hammock loops. Aside from that, the anchor set is fantastic. I used it to make a tree and a fence. It worked well and was simple to set up. This installation will necessitate the use of a ratchet and socket set. It doesn't appear that it will go away anytime soon.
I didn't want to take any chances after reading the reviews and concerns about the bolts breaking, so I bought new screws instead. It comes with three 3-inch long bolts. I went out and bought one. 5" screws that should be able to withstand the force of the bolts. br>Overall, I'm pleased with the outcome. The bolts were thrown away by me.
For my hammock, it's doing great. When my kids swing and the hooks don't move, they get very excited.
