I've never seen that requirement before, and I've used these in nearly a dozen parks, but they are 1" wide; they're also great quality and simple to use!
It comes with two ten-foot long straps, man. br>There are a total of 40 adjustment points on each strap! br>It's a breeze to hang your hammie with this! br>You're incredible, Michaelbr>Bear Butt Team Specialist.
The only noticeable difference in hang was the straps sliding slightly on the wet tree bark when entering and exiting during a storm. I didn't feel any stretch, and my hang height didn't change significantly.
Hammocks continue to be made.

I bought these to go with another hammock brand's straps, which cost $10 more. This pair of straps is superior in every way. They have a 1000-pound capacity compared to 400-pound capacity. They have 20 loops on each side, making it extremely easy to adjust. I had never hung a hammock before, and it took me only 5 minutes to strap them to the tree and find the right loop that provided the proper 30-degree angle. The most comfortable hang is at a 45-degree angle. The stitching is exceptional, ensuring that these are extremely long-lasting. The straps are 1 inch wide. In order to avoid damaging the trees, parks usually require a width of one inch. I got the black straps with green stitching, which is a really cool color combination. The two carabiners that come with it are quite sturdy. Durable enough to keep a heavy, loaded pack off the ground by hanging it on the straps at the bottom of the hammock. With all of the loops and additional load capacity of these straps, you can load it up with a lot of extra gear. I think this is one of the best Amazon purchases I've ever made.
BearButt Hammocks are one of our favorite things. They're our first hammocks, but I've heard they're just as good as hammocks costing twice as much, and I especially like the straps. It makes erecting a hammock a breeze because there are no knots to worry about. As we were breaking camp, I used a strap to act as a leash for my two-year-old. We could take that risk in the wilderness if he likes to run and hide. Although BearButt did not intend for them to be used in this manner, it worked for us.
The idea behind these straps isn't new. The simplicity of use is ideal for quick setup. The disadvantage of this strapping, in my opinion, is that it is extremely heavy. I am a frequent hiker who prefers to carry a light backpack. These straps are three times as heavy as the more expensive ultralight straps available on "real" hikers gear websites. Those other straps are 2-inch wide as well. I do have a set of the expensive ultralight strapping that I use when I go "hiking," so it's all relative. br>br>If you're looking for something to do with the family and aren't planning on going on a long hike, this strapping is ideal. This strapping is not light enough, in my opinion, if you are actually putting in some miles and hiking somewhere.
Ropes are much more difficult to work with and are less adjustable. These were purchased to complement my Bear Butt Double Hammock.
A tarp hammock would not be complete without these straps. They make it simple to set up. It's as easy as wrapping the strap around the tree as snugly as possible and clipping into the tightest sewn-in clip point with a Caribiner. The hammock is then clipped into a clip point on the strap's long side. This system makes adjusting the hammock's tension a breeze, and it eliminates the need to tie knots for those who struggle with that. The rope that came with my Bear Butt hammock is also wider than the straps. The wider strap is less likely to harm tree bark than the hammock's finer rope. This is a must-have for anyone who wants to set up a hammock.
The bag, however, was ripped when it arrived. UPDATE - A new one is on the way. THE STRAPS ARE INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL! I have no complaints about the straps; they're simple, light, and work great; I've been able to achieve the perfect hang every time; however, the bag arrived with a small hole in the corner, which I thought was no big deal at the time; however, after a few months, the straps have begun to fall through the hole, and I almost lost one this past weekend when one fell out while getting into my car; thankfully, I noticed it in my rearview mirror. br>I contacted Bear Butt to see if they could assist me because I like to just pull these out of my backpack or car and carry them to the park so I don't have to worry about my backpack or bag being left out where I can't see it or getting taken if I take a nap, so the carrying case is perfect, aside from the rip now. br>br>I'll keep you updated as soon as I hear from Bear Butt. br>br>NEW ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - They responded to my email the same day and are sending me a new bag to replace the straps. These people are incredible!.
a diameter of 5 feet (12 feet) I planned to hang the hammock between two 16-foot-circumference) redwoods, but when I unrolled the straps, I quickly realized they were too short to even go around the trees. Then it occurred to me that the 20' had to be the total length. (I think it's a little deceptive. ) ) After a little searching for smaller trees that were the right distance apart, I found two and set up the hammock with ease. Despite the fact that I was unable to position the hammock where I desired, I believe the straps are well constructed and simple to operate. Do you sell extra-large bear butts, Bear Butt? straps that are too long?.
I'm a special operations soldier in the military. This hammock is an excellent choice for those looking for a good balance of quality, functionality, and price; I've used it on combat patrols and hung it in planes with great success. It is something I strongly suggest. Advantages: br>br> br>Lightweight, long-lasting, and simple to assemble and dismantle. I can plug it in and fall asleep in less than two minutes. It's just as simple and painless to take down. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. Extra straps are required, and the hooks that come with this item should be upgraded. I also wish this was available in a solid black or a more military-style drab color. br>br>Anyone in need of a hammock should get this.
