Yes, it can be used as a standalone unit. I'm not sure how much weight it can carry, but it's rated at 2200 pounds (100 kilograms). I believe any tree branch used to hang these would break long before the straps snapped.
The limb will be girdled by these connectors, and the vascular system will eventually be cut off. A lawsuit has been filed in our area over a limb with this type of connector that killed another limb and fell on a child, killing him. A tree's vascular system is found in its outer layers, and when it is severed, the limb dies. Drilling a hole through the limb and using eye bolts is the proper method for attaching a swing. They will leave a scar on the tree, which will not harm it. This is a hazardous system.

This was purchased for use as a swing in our backyard for our grandchildren - It was not used on a regular basis. We used it to cover a tree branch, but it only lasted 5 months before it wore out and broke. There was no one on the swing at the time, which was fortunate.
With normal use, this belt frayed over 2/3 of the way through at the pressure point (where the belt loops into the D ring) in just 3 weeks! (See photo 1) This is a very dangerous situation! Please be cautious! It was possible that this would have resulted in a serious injury. It's because of the webbing. With a child on it, another product with a similar black webbed "belt" actually broke through! Surprisingly, I noticed this one fraying through on the same day. There was no monkey business or overcrowding (as seen in photo 2).
It's something I'd recommend! br>I've been swinging in my backyard for years, but one of the chains in the middle has broken. It's no longer long enough to hook onto my swing. I don't want to spend any more money on a new one, but finding the right chain is proving difficult. I was fortunate enough to come across this useful device. The carabiners appear to be very sturdy, and the design is simple yet effective. You won't have to worry about the chains falling out while your kids are having a good time with screw lock. Wrap the tree or bar for more rounds to extend the length. The straps appear to be well-made, similar to car seat belts. They ought to last a long time. I'm very pleased with myself. I would recommend this product to anyone who has recently purchased a new swing or who needs to replace their old swing chains!.
My new yoga trapeze fits perfectly in this product. When I looked at the reviews for the yoga trapeze, the only criticism I found was that the straps that came with it were too short. So I went on the hunt for some better ones and came across these. I'm in a great mood! They're well-made, and I'm completely comfortable hanging upside down from them. They're also very adaptable; I've used them to hold my son's swing. They're easy to store in the garage if the weather is bad, so I can exercise whenever I want.
Only two straps and carabiners were included in this kit, which was packaged in a cute little bag. There are no rules. To hang the swing from our locust tree, we needed the hanging kit. It is situated at a considerable altitude. We used the straps and carabineers that came with the wing to make one. Despite the fact that the swing ropes are adjustable, it dragged on the ground. br>br>What we ended up doing was securing the hanging kit to the tree by looping the strap around the branch and through its own ring, forming a tight loop. The straps included with the swing were then attached. We connected BOTH ENDS of the strap to the hanging ring, creating a loop through which we ran the swing's ropes, because they were too long. As you can see from the image. The ropes were then adjusted. It's been fantastic, and our children are enthralled with it.
My heavy bag is hung from the rafters of my shed using one strap. It's been running smoothly for a few months now. It's less expensive and more effective than bag hangers, and I already have a spare strap in case it breaks.
We've been using them every day, sometimes multiple times a day, for the past month and are extremely pleased with them. It's simple to put together and lasts a long time. The seatbelt material is of excellent quality, and the length of the strap allows for a wide range of length adjustments to achieve the ideal swing height. The carabiners are very sturdy, and we like how you can "lock" them with the twist part so the swings don't come uncoupled by accident.
It's extremely durable and simple to operate. I ordered these for my kids' tree swings in our large yard, and even better, I was able to use the straps to secure the swings under our covered patio, allowing them to play even on rainy days! We didn't have to stay inside for a week because it rained nonstop! These straps kept me sane during those weeks of stay-at-home parenting. These will also work well as a hammock in the summer.
