Any climbing-rated carabiner would be sufficient for hanging a hammock, and these straps have a nice big loop that would be ideal.
Each strap is 10 feet long (for a total of 20 feet) and 1 inch wide.
Yes. I used them to make a hammock, but they're strong enough to stretch a slack line between them as well. My wife and I both climbed into our hammocks at the same time, and they stayed put without a hitch.
Yes, it is possible to wash it in the machine. After that, either air dry or hang them to dry. They shouldn't be dried on high because they're made of polyester, which can be damaged by high heat.

But I'm not impressed from the standpoint of truth in advertising. The title says "holds 1000 pounds," and the product breakdown says "500 pounds per strap for up to 1,000 pounds," but anyone who has done securement knows that's not how it works. Your ratings aren't additive; the load is determined by the hammock hang angle and a variety of other factors, but it isn't divided in half. I'd even accept 500 pounds, but then you take the strap out of the package and see "250 lbs" clearly printed on it. So now I'm barely able to get in, and one of my children is unable to accompany me. br>br>I'm not sure if the seller doesn't understand what's going on, if there's a labeling error, or if they're just plain lying, but I'm not fond of it. I'm not sure if I'll go back because at 250 pounds, it doesn't meet my needs.
This set of hammock straps was purchased for my daughter, who also desired a two-person hammock. With her dependable hammock, she explores the rivers and travels the globe. Finding places to hang the hammock that aren't too far apart has always been a problem, but this product solves that problem because the straps are so long. The loops aren't cheap, and the straps themselves are well-made. We've had other straps that didn't hold up as well as this one and ended up snapping. I was laying in my hammock at the time. It was humiliating, and my booty hurt as a result of the fall. With these straps, you won't have to worry about that.
They did an excellent job of holding up my hammock and came in a nice drawstring bag. There are even two heavy-duty carabiners included. Although most hammocks include them, having extra is always a good idea. I can't believe I got such a good deal on such a good product.
My hammock is hung between the trees at my cabin using these. Instead of a more permanent setup, I thought they might look amusing. My assumptions were incorrect. They're sturdy, simple to use, and look great; I don't leave them up when we're gone for long periods of time, but I'm sure they'd be fine.
I'm let down. Straps that aren't as long as regular ones. The straps are rated at 250 pounds each, not 1000 pounds as stated on the website. Was looking for a pair of straps that were a little longer than normal, but these aren't it. So don't buy these if you need longer straps!.
I used to spend like 10 minutes fastening my hammock robes, but the hammock would still drag down, but with this one, it only takes 1 minute and you're good to go. It also has many slots in both straps for adjusting hammock between different tree lengths.
The maximum weight capacity is incorrectly represented in this post. Each strap clearly states that it is rated for a maximum weight of 250 pounds. The item's description states that each strap weighs 500 pounds. I'm 5'10" and weigh 280 pounds. So far, I've only used the product for one day. It appears to be capable of supporting my weight.
We haven't had it long enough to know how well it will hold up, so I gave it a lower rating in terms of sturdiness and durability. The granddaughters enjoy swinging back and forth, and these straps move quickly down the tree. They're simple to put together, but it would be better if they had a tightening clip that could be used around the tree.
