There is no way to make it shorter. A full circle of these is 4' long. that you go around the branch in a loop To connect to the tree, go through the circle. The strap's end length is determined by the branch's size. We discovered that adding more clips resulted in a small increase in length.
Yes. All of our hanging kits and straps can be hung from a piece of wood, a tree limb, a branch, a pergola, a swing set, or any other suitable structure.
However, the weight of a person in the chair I've attached to it has kept it from moving so far.

The support limb is cinched with a pass through loop on these straps. I hang a swing for the kids from a large tree branch. This will be my second or third time putting the swing straps together. The others only lasted about a year before they broke or failed. Typically, the children abuse them by twisting them around (as is typical of children). The straps claim to support 2,200 pounds, but my children are much lighter: When it comes to swing straps, the most important consideration is their durability. After being yanked and twisted against tree bark, how long can they keep their integrity? br>br>On the other straps I've made, a metal ring was used to create a cinch around the tree branch. The grip on the tree is likely to be slightly tighter with a metal clip. The point where the strap passes through the metal loop, on the other hand, is a tight turn that requires a lot of force. The other straps always snap at this point. br>br>I've only had these for a few months, but I'm hoping the cloth loop cinch will help the straps outlast their less expensive counterparts.
These straps are ideal because they do not rub against the tree and only provide tension when in use. The straps "relax" when not in use, allowing the tree to sag more. Much better than swinging on a rope that, as it moves, slowly saws through the bark. These straps don't move around while you're wearing them. br>br>They were also strong enough to support my 6 ft husband on the swing. I have complete faith in our new tree swing, which is very strong. This is a tree swing kit that I would strongly recommend.
We bought a swing for our one-year-old for our backyard tree, but we were hesitant to hang it because we have two older brothers who like to pull and push the baby in the swing or try to climb onto it like a rope ladder. These straps came up after some research, and I'm so glad we purchased them. They were a breeze to set up and are extremely safe. Anyone who wants to hang a swing for their kids from a tree branch or something similar should do so.
I started looking into eye bolts for a permanent installation in our backyard tree, but I couldn't find any that I trusted, and I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to adjust them once they were in place. I decided to use the strap method for the time being. br>br>Easy to use; thankfully, the 4' strap was long enough to go twice around my 1 foot diameter branch; felt sturdy and secure with the included carabiners. The locking screw should be pointing down to prevent it from unscrewing itself over time. br>br>Time will tell how well it holds up and if it harms the tree, but I plan to take it down in the winter to help extend the life of both the straps and the branch.
This strap tore after nearly two years. Fortunately, no one was hurt, and my children have enjoyed using it in our saucer tree swing. Under load, the included spinner/swivel does not swivel very easily. As if the rope twists a lot, and the strap twists a lot, and then the swivel finally gets enough tension to spin, and the swing drops 6" from unwinding. I'm going to experiment with a more expensive swivel to see if it extends the life of the strap. Regardless, it has been well received by children, and the price is reasonable. As a result, I would continue to purchase.
They don't appear to have faded or slipped on the branch, even after being exposed to rain and sunlight. I'm more worried about the branch snapping than these breaking or even moving!.
It was delivered on time and in good condition. packaged. All of the stated pieces were included, and they appear to be in good condition. made. Installs in seconds and is extremely secure with no risk of slipping because no tying is required. This was purchased to replace previous straps that had worn out over time and had broken after only a year of use (by toddlers). I only put it in a week ago, so I have no idea how long it will last. I gave it four stars instead of five because the straps are a little too long for where I have them but not long enough for me to wrap twice; they should be three feet or even three feet and a half. It would have been nice to have the rotational device included in the package as straps rather than having to buy them separately.
I bought these with the intention of suspending chain swings from a tree branch. They are extremely durable, well-designed, and simple to install (less than 20 minutes). 30 second time limit). I realized how effective this design is once I got them up. With these, you've created a portable instant swingset or hammock that you can hang anywhere in the world! Amazing!.
