The zipper runs from the bottom to about 6" above the top; I could be off by an inch or two in either direction. You have to lift it up and over the top of the frame, which I found helpful when zipping it down because it helped secure it. A bungee cord is also included. To keep critters out, tie a drawstring tie at the bottom.
I'm an 11 with a curved shape. I have a 5 ft cantilever umbrella that fits perfectly; it is a rectangular shape, not a curved shape, so it accommodates a variety of sizes and shapes.
If you're not sure, look at the product's description. Mine has been in my possession for two years and is in excellent condition. The fabric is tough and has held up well in the cold.

The cover has a nice appearance, but I just received it, so I can't comment on its durability or sturdiness at this time. One thing I would like to mention is that the cover's description stated that it came with a 'rod' to help with positioning the cover over the umbrella. There was no rod provided, and there is no area on the cover where a rod could be inserted, according to my inspection.
It appears to be a substantial piece of equipment. So far, everything has gone well. I was undecided about which size to order, so I went with this one for an 11-foot round cantilever umbrella. When I first opened it, it appeared to be very heavy and solid. This, I believe, will work well in the snow and ice of the winter. In the cover, there was plenty of room. It went all the way to the base, which was exactly what we needed because the solar lights have a power switch near the base. More information will be added in the spring. br>br>April 2021: br>br>Update Great product that kept our umbrella safe during a cold winter in Ohio. I would strongly recommend it. It wasn't cheap or flimsy, and it didn't survive the sun and ice unscathed.
The umbrella is rectangular rather than round, as shown in the photo - Even the image on the storage bag is incorrect. Although the fabric is thick, the zipper does not appear to be of equal quality. The seams are sloppy, and there are a lot of threads, so I'm afraid this thing won't last.
I have no complaints about the product because it is well-made with high-quality materials and it looks nice. The nylon zipper was well-placed and runs smoothly, making complete enclosure a breeze. To increase the secure fit, I would have preferred to see a set tie or velcro straps attached just under the curve of the frame, but that's just my opinion. It's enough to have an elastic drawstring at the bottom. I can wrap it several times to get the extra security I want, but I'll need a ladder or a very tall person to assist me. Even though I was short and stood on a bench, it was still a vertical challenge for me the first time I attempted it on my own. For future reference, I've learned a valuable lesson.
I bought umbrella covers for several cantilever umbrellas and two thatched tiki umbrellas, but you can't get the covers on the umbrellas unless you're 8 feet tall. Why not include a folding rod to assist with putting on and removing the umbrella? And because the zipper is at the top of the cover, you can't close it once it's on the umbrella. Why have a removeable handle tab on the top of the umbrella if you can't even reach it? Just a little more thought to include and make these practical, and it would be 5 stars and excellent all around, but the product does not work for me unless you are extremely tall. To put these on, I need a tall step stool because I'm 5' 7" tall. With the next set of covers, I'll definitely be back and looking for an assist rod.
I have a large umbrella that can be telescopically extended. The majority of covers are too narrow, but this one fit perfectly. The workmanship appears to be of high quality. The zipper runs up high on the cover, making it a little easier to get on and off, so I'll see how it holds up over time. Even though I am 6'2", I still need to use a stick to get the covers on with my umbrella. So far, I've been pleased with it.
The cover does not fully retract as shown in the product image. It comes down the role but does not cover the umbrella.
This has a lot of measurements that are off. This is for what appears to be the world's largest cantilever umbrella. It was far too large for my 13-foot cantilever umbrella, which is the recommended size.
