When even a smidgeon of wind blows, all of these products are complete garbage. It is completely useless. I'd return it, but they're all garbage in the wind, as far as I can tell. If you live in a place where it is never even warm, you will adore this piece of garbage. br>Now that I've exhausted all of my options for securing it, I'm ready to give up. My window of opportunity for return was closing. br>br>Please don't do it. In the slightest breeze, it resembles a large hot air balloon. As you can see in the photo, I have protective covers on other items (a stack of chairs, a fire pit, and the BBQ), which never blow off.
I liked how easy it was to use and how nice it looked when I first put it on. However, three months later, with no bad weather except sunshine and a little wind, the top of the cover has ripped apart and is no longer repairable.
This cover was the ideal solution for keeping the elements out of our swing. It performed admirably from April 2019 to November 2020, when it was ripped along a top seam by a strong windstorm. It had faded slightly, so I can only assume it was weakened by the sun. I'm not surprised that the swing died because it is constantly exposed to the sun, wind, rain, snow, and ice; I'll be ordering another.
It's a good cover and it's a good book. Strong enough to withstand strong winds. The cushion got a little wet the first time it rained after I put 5his on. I'll blame it on the fact that I didn't tilt the canopy back far enough to prevent water from pooling on the top. Otherwise, it's a solid cover that's well worth the investment.
Not bad! Any rain or wind was simply covered.
In Michigan, we only had one rain/wind storm. br>It split at the bottom, where it goes under the swing's leg and foot, and that was just the autumn storm. br>I'm not sure if it'll be able to protect my swing or get me through the Michigan winter.
According to one picture area it says 420d 100% polyester and in the Description it says 600D Oxford fabric, scratch resistant and corrosion proof. No, I don't believe so! This cover is so thin that I'm not sure it's even 420d. I informed Amazon that I believe this information is incorrect so that they could correct it. On my lawn tractor, I have a cover made of the same material; I've had it for a year and it's already developed a few small holes; it's gotten to the point where I can't trust "Amazon descriptions. ".
This item is extremely light in weight. It was too big to fit over my three-seater swing, and the zippers wouldn't stay closed. It flew off the swing once, then created a "balloon" on another day, causing the entire swing to be blown off my deck by a strong wind. I paid $35 for it, and it was definitely not worth it.
