I'd call it a cross between the two. It's not quite as soft as a cloth, and it's not quite as rigid as a plastic tarp. It does have some give to it, but it is 100% waterproof.
For my warranty, I can't get through to anyone. I've emailed but haven't received a response, and I'm currently on hold for the second time in over 20 minutes- It's extremely annoying. Is it possible for Amazon to assist me?
It would almost certainly be far too long on one side and far too short on the other. Get the right cover for your stackable chairs.

Please look at the photographs. We ordered your Duck Covers on October 18, 2016, and they are no longer usable. Last October, we threw out four of them, leaving two. They not only faded after the first summer, but they are literally falling apart; given that they are outdoor covers, they should have lasted longer. Take a look at the photos we've taken. I'm not sure I want them replaced because they're so worn out, but you should at least compensate us. I contacted the company, and they initially stated that they would replace them; however, they now want me to contact their Warranty Department again.
When I first bought them three and a half years ago, I thought they were thick and durable, as well as waterproof when the desert in Southern California finally got some rain.
I noticed that after two years of sitting in the sun the color was 100% faded and the material was much thinner and the material was much thinner% br>br>Towards the end of the third season, I sat on the furniture and noticed that it was paper thin. I don't use it very often, but I wanted to keep my $500 chairs safe from my dogs and the sun. br>br>You can see what happens if you don't replace them between one and two years in the pictures I submitted. It wasn't waterproof, so it ruined the furniture beneath it. It had tears in it, which I didn't realize until I saw my dogs laying on them one day and went over to sit with them. It peeled away like a piece of paper, which surprised me. br>br>I recently purchased two new sets, which I put on today to demonstrate the difference between how they appear new and how they appear after years. I still think they're fantastic, but I want people to know that if you want them to really protect your furniture, especially if you have nice white cushions, you should look for something else.
I was hesitant to purchase these because several reviews mentioned that the covers discolored after a few weeks. br>br>Because I live in South Florida, where the sun is a major issue, I was hesitant to buy, but there were no better options in this price range. After many months, I'm happy to report that there is NO FADING. I'm not sure if the other reviewers got a fake, but mine are still the same brown color they were when they arrived. Having said that, I have not attempted to launder these. br>br>Perhaps the fading was caused by laundering or bleaching, or perhaps the manufacturer switched to a better fabric. Whatever the case may be, the copy I received has held up admirably.
" I have a pair of outdoor double chaise lounges, and it's not practical to remove the cushions and stow them away every time it rains, so I purchased a pair of these Duck covers to keep the cushions dry, based on their claim that they are "rain proof. " " They most certainly aren't. We had a three-hour conversation the first time I put them on my chaises. These soaked right through a two-hour rainstorm. Because they did bead up for the first hour or so, they'd be better described as water "resistant. " The covers look nice and fit well on my chaises, but they don't work as well as they should. I've since covered these covers with plastic (old shower curtains) and am hoping that this will solve the issue.
The Duck Covers are absolutely fantastic. They've been with me since the beginning of the season. I live in Minnesota and have never seen a cover quite like this! They're thick, water-repellent (it drips right off), and have plenty of straps to keep the cover in place. It was always there when I went looking for a strap. The weather has turned bitterly cold, and the water is no longer repelling, and snow is accumulating, but the fabric does not appear to be damp. For my deck lounge chairs, I have two of these. I've always brought the furniture inside during the winter because I didn't want it to deteriorate over time. I haven't looked beneath the furniture yet, but I'm confident it will be in excellent condition. I haven't noticed a single tear even with the weight of the snow on top of the fabric. I also purchased covers for a Square Patio Table and Chairs. Exactly the same, AWESOME! br>br>The only thing is that I wish there were more sizes available. Because I was in between sizes, I had to buy a lot of these products. Oh well, it's better to be safe than sorry. (I just don't care for the extra fabric hanging around. ) (I'm a bit of a wuss. ).
Because of the bulky appearance, I gave these a four-star rating. To keep it from falling to the ground, they'll need a cord that wraps around the entire base. As a resident of south Florida, I can attest to the fact that these hold up well in the sun and rain. Keep in mind that the warranty is only for two years, so don't expect them to last indefinitely if you don't take care of them properly. As shown in the photos, it is beneficial to place a beach ball or float under the cover to aid rain runoff. When it comes to fading, let's face it, I'm in Florida, so I'm expecting some. Protection is more important to me than appearances. For the price and quality, I strongly suggest them. My outdoor furniture was kept in a basement or shed when I lived up north during the winter. Keep in mind that most materials don't last very long in cold weather. Allowing rain or snow to puddle on these and leave them set will cause the protective coating to break down.
I purchased the 80"L cover, but was concerned that it would be too short or too tight a fit because the chair and cover lengths were identical - I'm happy to report that it fit perfectly. I don't need to try to pull the cover into place because it's long enough. These appear to be well-made and are of a generous size, making them easy to put on and take off. br>I haven't had the opportunity to use them in the winter yet, but they appear to be weatherproof.
