It was relatively simple to put together. Also, they are more resistant to wind and rain than others.
The canopy is a shoddy construction. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase after making a few minor adjustments. There are no actual instructions; instead, there are diagrams with part numbers and detailed drawings of how to put it together. The assembly was recommended for three people, but my wife and I completed it in about three and a half hours, the majority of which was spent installing the approximately 200 bolts that hold everything together. It's very sturdy once it's finished and bolted to our patio. On the other hand, the canopy is a great way to protect yourself from the elements. on the other hand, is lacking. When there is even a smidgeon of wind, the canopy flaps and folds, becoming a rather inconvenient annoyance. It is disrupted by even the tiniest breeze. To keep the canopy taut, I devised a system that included extra-large binder clips and a variety of bungee cords. That solves the problem, but it still requires careful attention if the wind picks up, and it will have to be taken down in any type of storm. Also, forget about splitting the two halves and having one up and one down like the product page shows. You'd find the canopy halves in your neighbor's yard! I'll make some more changes, but don't expect everything you'll need to be included in the box.
Update: FedEx delivery was terrible, but I received a small refund from the company. However, the finished product is fantastic, and I am extremely pleased with my pergola. It was simple to assemble; the key is to follow the directions and refer to the diagram. It will help you if you pay attention to how the diagram is laid out. Open the box and group all of the lettered parts together; the washers are also stuck together, but with some scissors and the blade, they can be separated; good luck and have fun!.
This is without a doubt the best quality for the money I could find, but given the weather (see Con 1 below), I'm curious to see how long it lasts. PROS: br>br>

- All of the crossbars and top frame bars are made of two pieces of steel joined by a weaker metal. This is, without a doubt, the pergola's biggest flaw. To be fair, this pergola has the same design as other pergolas in this price range, and I'd say it's even more durable (given the Pros listed above that other pergolas lack). However, if someone stands underneath the pergola and presses up against the crossbars, the top bows instead of holding firm and lifting the pergola.
- There are a few dents and scratches, as well as some pieces that don't fit together well (as shown in the photos). My main concern is not the appearance of dents and scratches, but how well it will withstand the elements. TIP: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innovative" and "paraphrase. "
- With three or four people, this pergola would be much easier to put together. However, my husband (6ft) and I (5ft) were able to complete the task with relative ease (3-minutes). 4 hours) following this minor assembly change: Set the four corner posts in place on the ground after assembling them. Assemble the top frame and two center crossbars, including drilling pilot holes for the screws that will secure the four corner posts. The tallest and strongest person lifts the top frame overhead and holds it in place while the second person screws the frame to the four corner posts. Of course, one person must be reasonably strong/confident in lifting the entire top frame overhead and holding it for one minute. 2 minutes, and you must be at least 6 feet tall to make it tall enoughbr>- In addition, one step is missing from the instructions. When joining G and F together. Before securing the top G piece, make sure to secure the bottom G piece first, then insert F. Finally, make sure to prep and secure the canopy and rings. br>br>Overall, this is the best quality for the price, but I'm interested to see how it holds up over time! I'll keep you updated if I run into any problems, but for now, I'm glad to have some shade on this windy day! less of a day:.
The product was exactly as described at a great price, and any questions I had about it were promptly and courteously answered.
In our windy location, the two-piece cover was not acceptable. We're replacing it with a piece of shade cloth because it bunched up and needed constant adjustment. We like the structure, but the directions were inadequate, making it difficult to put up.
This pergola can't be beat for the price. When the instructions weren't very clear, it was a little frustrating to put together. The most serious problem is that several of the components arrived dented. Without laying down and hammering it out flatter, I made the legs not insert into other parts. It wasn't perfect, but it got the job done for the most part. Although the seller was pleasant to deal with and attempted to resolve issues, the rating was still harmed.
My backyard patio now has a new lease on life, and it was incredibly simple to put together. I wasn't sure about buying it because I hadn't seen any reviews with pictures, but I'm glad I did. My wife and I are very pleased with the appearance.
