Questions & Answers

Is there a wood post for the pvc post sleeve included? Would you be able to provide ez shade for this pegola's canopy? This is for the installation of a concrete patio. ?

It does not include wood posts, but it does include a 2. For stability, a 5 ft heavy metal sleeve fits inside the post that will be pounded or cemented into the ground. To block the sun, I used privacy lattice on top, but anything similar would suffice.

Is it possible to put down wood?

To secure the brackets we installed in the concrete, we inserted treated 4 x 4s into the post. It's in Florida where we have ours.

Is it possible to hang curtains on both sides of the room?

Lightweight curtains, but not swings or chairs, are allowed to be hung from this pergola, according to the manufacturer.

Is it possible to bolt or secure this to a wooden deck? Is it true that there is a lot of wind on the lake? And, more importantly, where can I get a cover?

Ours was built on a wooden deck, but it was secured with wooden blocks (pillars that go inside the legs - see photo). The base is made up of a pressure-treated 4x4 and a 2x6. We employ the use of a shade-producing device. Cover is made of tex black fabric and is still visible. through, but it keeps the majority of the sun and heat out.

It's absolutely incredible. I flipped the first square over after assembling it upside down. Then I went ahead and added the rest of the pieces. The holes have already been drilled; all you have to do now is match them up carefully. For added stability, I added a wood post to the legs. The legs were concreted into flower pots weighing 40 pounds each. It appears that I've gained a new room. I'm glad I went ahead and purchased it.

The unit is simple to put together

This was a breeze to put together. The pergola has received many compliments. My only criticism is that it is not as sturdy as I would like; I have firmly attached the base to my deck, but the pergola structure still has a lot of wiggle room. When pressure is applied (or a strong wind blows), it will sway a few inches side to side / front to back at the top. br>I would recommend adding secured 4"x4" wooden posts at least 4' to 5' under the vinyl sleeves for support. br>I will at some point add angle brackets to attach one side to my home for additional support.

This pergola is a great low-maintenance and attractive addition to my backyard, and at less than $800, I think it's a great deal

I did my research and, despite the fact that this was attached to my deck, I purchased pressure treated 4 x 4s to add stability and strength to each leg. In addition, I performed some preliminary research. To make assembly easier, drill out some of the screw holes. Apart from that, even working alone, the setup was fairly simple, but a second pair of hands would have been beneficial at two or three junctions. It's the little things that make a project stand out, so I added post accents at the top and bottom, as well as NextStone faux stone columns that I converted into planters with wisteria vines, as shown. It's been three years since this was installed, and it's held up admirably in the face of a harsh winter climate and minor hail storms, so buy with confidence.

What a fantastic purchase! VERY sturdily constructed, and it looks fantastic above my hot tub! We initially set it up on a tiled patio and then moved it over to the hot tub a few days later, so there was no anchoring during that time

We had several high wind storms pass through those days (up to 60 mph wind gusts), and the pergola held up admirably. Of course, it's now permanently installed, but we were very pleased with the quality of the construction.

It is simple to put together

My wife and I are both 77 years old. It is simple to put together. My wife and I are both 72 years old, but we had no problems. The delivery has been the biggest issue we've had so far. FedEx dropped it off at our clubhouse (they wouldn't deliver to our unit and the driver was a jerk). ) We loaded it into our golf cart and drove it back to the house. Unloading into our driveway was assisted by a neighbor. The anchoring brackets on the driveway must still be installed.
