This product received a mixed review from me because the packages were torn open and pieces were missing or damaged when they arrived. We had the option of receiving a partial refund or returning the entire order. Because of the convenience and the fact that it is covered by a warranty, we chose to return it in part. We sent the information to Backyard Discovery in the hopes of receiving free replacement parts. It looks lovely and is very sturdy once it's up.
The shipping company ruined it in transit, with ripped, split, and splintered boards inside; I returned it and placed an order directly with the manufacturer. The product appears to be in good condition, and shipping and delivery were excellent. made. However, because several of the bolts were improperly threaded, we had to stop the assembly process halfway through. all the way through Customer service was contacted and replacements were sent. br>br> After a week of waiting, I was finally able to get my hands on something. No bolts. I got a call back. They got separated from the rest of the group in the middle of the journey. They're going to send two more people. I'll have to wait another week while it sits on my patio and in my garage, partially assembled. br>br>Let's hope that after seven weeks (2-months) the results are positive. I'll finally be able to assemble them (half for each pergola kit, and another two for replacement bolts). br>br>Amazon's freight service gets one star, while Backyard Discovery's hardware quality control gets one star.
My delivery was with CEVA, and despite the fact that they were unable to deliver inside the gate, the driver placed the three shipping boxes weighing 490 pounds in the driveway where I could work out of them. I took a quick inventory and discovered only one item that was damaged (a cracked table brace). Each box included an inventory sheet, which I used to select parts for the assembly process. I went over the written assembly manual as well as the BILT app's assembly instructions. When it came to assembly, I chose the written manual. The assembly was, on the whole, very simple. I was able to complete the majority of the assembly by myself, and I found that working without the saw horses was more convenient for me. I had some assistance with the four posts, but that was all. In 8 hours, I finished the assembly. Over the course of four days, you will have worked for a total of ten hours. An electric drill as well as a sturdy ladder are required. Read the directions carefully and don't skip any steps in order to get ahead. Keep in mind that the location of pilot holes must be kept in mind. Some of them aren't mentioned in the manual. I assembled each step by picking items from the shipping containers as needed. I used cardboard under the posts to help me move it around, square it up, and check the level once the four posts were raised and the rafters were installed. To finish the assembly, I still need to install the tables, touch up the stain, seal, and fasten them to the footers. I haven't gone over all of the hardware one last time, but once it's put together, it's very sturdy. It has a nice rustic look thanks to the stain color and bolt patterns. I contacted BYD about the cracked table brace, and they responded to my email within hours, informing me that the item would be FEDEXed to my home. I'm very pleased with the Silverton Pergola and would recommend it to others.
It was lovely and simple to assemble. I wish the drivers were longer because it was difficult to get the screws in without using an extender. After that, I went out and bought one for everyone to make sure they were all comfortable. br>The entire unit is tastefully put together. Our neighbors have expressed their admiration for how lovely it is.

The pergola surprised me with how well it was designed and how simple it was to put together. There was only one significant issue with me. We installed the vertical panel part of the bar assembly upside down by accident. It's a breeze! So, if you're putting this together, pay close attention to the instructions. We had already put both tables in place by the time we realized what we had done. It's not simple to take them apart. Apart from our blunder, assembly was simple. This pergola is both attractive and well-built. It's something I'd buy again in a heartbeat.
Almost all of the wood was shattered when it arrived. The initial shipment did not include any hardware. We had to contact them and request that they send it to us via FedEx. When the hardware arrived and we were able to begin putting it together, we discovered that much of the wood had been split or chipped. I took over 30 photos to send to Amazon in the hopes of getting our money back or replacing the item. The 30 photographs depicted 30 distinct locations where the wood had split, chipped, or broken. The hardware was so cheap that you couldn't even screw it in all the way, and getting it halfway put together was a pain. We gave up halfway through because we realized the quality was not good enough for the money we paid; the wood felt incredibly cheap, and the hardware was even worse. Save your cash and go somewhere else to shop. The only reason we received two stars is because Amazon helped us when we gave up and requested a refund. Even doing that was a hassle in and of itself. We're just relieved that we didn't lose $1500 on this shoddy pergola. It appears to be nice in pictures, but it is not nice in person; NOT WORTH THE MONEY! Also, it appears that a strong breeze would knock this over. The wood is hollow, and it isn't even very strong.
