Each coco fiber was stuffed into a padded manila envelope and received in a timely manner. If I were to buy again, I would think twice.
Presented in a Manila envelope stuffed inside a plastic envelope, they were loose and packed loosely. Due to the disintegration of the disks, there was a lot of dust inside the envelope. Varying thicknesses, with some being very thin and having a thickness of less than 75 mm. In the coming weeks I will test them out and update if they work. It would be good to hear from them.
I have a very strong dislike for these. Water makes the plants rise and tip over into a lump of soil when they come into contact with it. This is not a 'plug' shape or a grouping that stays together. After I threw multiple handfuls of dirt onto a cookie sheet, I ended up with a plate of soil that looked like I had thrown it Following the directions, I placed each pellet in a small garden pot before watering, however the directions should state that this is not a requirement. It was disappointing.
Firstly, the discs were merely tossed into a manilla envelope without any additional care to ensure that it was sealed tightly. As soon as I pulled it out of the mailbox, the discs fell out and all over my car. In addition, the "expanding" discs are simply There is no absorption of water in them. As far as expanding coir soil is concerned, yes, I am well versed in it. In order to get the discs wet, I had to break them up with my cleaver. It was nearly impossible to separate some of them.
Thirdly, I only received 25 instead of the 30 I expected. In my car, I searched for traces of missing soil and did not find any. The reason I vacuumed them out of my car was that they disintegrated during shipping. The seller is not someone I would buy from.
My first impression was that these would be slightly smaller than they were, and that I would have to use two instead of one, but they worked just fine for what I needed. We saw some really beautiful grass in the field. I appreciate it.
There are no channels for water to drain through these little clumps of soil. The roots end up getting rotten because they become too compact when you water them. Getting potting soil is an easy project. Just go to your local supermarket and pick up a giant bag for $6.
I had previous plants die due to gnats in the soil, so I chose compressed soil this time. It was the BEST choice I have ever made. I have not heard of any deaths since months ago. These are amazing! I love them!.
My understanding of the description was a bit unclear and not what I expected at all. A toilet would not be suitable for growing little plants for the next season. But this would be ideal for growing little plants for the next season.
