Questions & Answers

Is it possible to grow this in coco coir or perlite/vermiculite? In addition to clay pellets, I also have them. ?

A mix of perlite, vermiculite, and sand or a cactus mix is best for plumeria cultivation. An ideal soil is one that drains well. Water causes their roots to rot, and they prefer to be in full sunlight.

A plumeria for my first time - I am so excited NEWS UPDATE
5/5

Update for October 5th 2019

As a result of your review, I would like to forward you an update. My plant got full sun about two weeks after planting the cutting on July 22nd this year, so I placed it outside on the balcony facing east. In the Midwest summer, my concern was that the temperatures wouldn't be warm enough for it, but this turned out not to be the case. During the next few weeks the plant thrived and, as you can see from the pictures, several healthy sets of leaves sprouted. The plant was growing in a pot I purchased from a friend. I was concerned that I would kill it since I lack a green thumb too. Nevertheless, I made it a point not to over water it by only watering one day per week, and so far that's been working well. In recent days the temperatures have dipped below 70F, so I have brought the plant inside and placed it in a window facing East so it continues to get full sun. There are several leaves on the plant that are larger than the diameter of the pot, and as you can see, the main leaves are a nine" diameter. Approximately 13" long, they span the width of the table. Despite being planted for less than 3 months, this all occurred within that time. I will continue to provide updates as I continue to learn more about this plant. Discount Hawaiian Gift's Plumeria cutting seems to be of top quality, and I've been very satisfied with the way the Plant is growing. In the future, I would like to order more Plumeria from Discount Hawaiian Gifts. 22 July 2019* I just received the Plumeria cutting this morning, and I've My first Plumeria, and I want to grow it successfully. I hope I will do a good job. I feel that the cutting is firm to the touch and it appears healthy. Growing the plant with growth hormone and a 2/1 mixture of organic perlite and organic potting soil was my method. Because it is located in a window that faces east, it will get a lot of sunlight. My experience with the seller (Discount Hawaiian Gifts ) has been great so far, as I ordered the cutting on 7/15 and received it on 7/22. The plant cutting is vigorous and healthy as well. In the future, I am going to leave more feedback on how the plant is doing.

There was a bloom! I thought it would take a few seasons for the cutting to grow big enough to bloom when I got it
5/5

It seemed like I was in the wrong. Despite the fact that it hasn't even developed its leaves yet, the cutting has shown signs of blooming. I like the size of the bloom, but it is small. The floodwaters flooded the area!.

This is a neat A challenging game for experienced players
5/5

When I received the cutting, it was in a very serious state of My first attempt at growing plumeria was a failure, so I decided to try again. This came to me on a typical Chicago day of 31°F in April, and I planted it indoors in a 3-gallon pot In front of a north-facing wall, a five-gallon pot I placed the cut point facing a window with artificial lighting after spreading growth hormone gel with the edge covered completely. Trying to figure out which end is up can be a bit confusing. The photos below are at the 4 week mark with probably a 1 week old puppy. There are 5 full-time employees There can be sun equivalent 24/7, Clonex gel at the beginning, and humidity dome during the whole process. It is hard to grow this plant. I've noticed that things began to progress when the temperature under the dome ($1 at Dollar Tree) exceeded 85 degrees Fahrenheit. A deionized water spray several times a day is my usual method of moisturizing. Humus that is soluble in water). 2 x 200W LEDs are installed at a distance of 9 inches (20W each). At 3 weeks, the plant was able to resist light tugging, meaning it has grown roots. Although I wouldn't pull too hard, I would try not to pull too hard. I hope to see flowers soon! Unless you live in a tropical climate, it will be difficult for you to grow this plant. The plant needs heat and light for survival, and it doesn't like temperatures below 65° F, top of the tree grows at a painfully slow rate in the early stages. In my opinion, these plants might remain dormant for indefinite periods of time without the additions or tropical sun. There will be a few more pictures at anywhere between 6 and 18 months. I just updated the status on 7/15/20, 3 months later A bunch of starters are attached to the main leaves of the plant. As a result of my clumsiness, I managed to knock a leaf off the tree. It's too bad. LED lights appear to be more appealing to the spider than incandescent ones. Great. Thanks for sharing that with us. You can get it for a lot less. It was moved from my grow room to the following area At present it's 77 degrees F during the day and 67 degrees at night (currently 12/12, but soon 18/6) with 50 % humidity and fans to keep about a 10-percent humidity Despite the swirling wind, the temperature was moderate. Root accelerator is no longer used by me. I love how my tree turned out! It's amazing to see how fast the plants grow at lower temperatures. On the left is the third picture. I had an infestation in my grow room which resulted in the death of my plumeria on 10/18/2020. He had been doing a great job. It was easy for the critters to hide from the spray due to the leaves. During the night I brought in a tree, it was covered in aphids, spider mites, I cannot believe what has happened The chemotherapy I gave my plants did not cause a third to survive.

Even before the flowers bloom, this plant is stunning, healthy, and gorgeous
5/5

When I got it, it was in excellent condition. The cutting you get has small buds at the top when you get it. I've had them for about a month now and they have three beautiful leaves on each of them. Despite the lack of flowers because the plant is too young yet, the leaves are lovely with beautiful colors and sizes. I am in love with the Leaves that are textured with a darker maroon edge and have long waxy-looking leaves. I can not say enough good things about it! Shipping was super fast and it arrived perfectly healthy. You're doing a great job!.

5/5

I love plumeria plants, and I always keep them in bloom. Although this plant was received as a cutting, it has thrived and has grown rapidly. There is another plumeria in my yard, and it is doing well. I have one in my yard that has a white blossom with a hint of yellow in the center. Plumerias are one of your favorite flowers, so go for this red one.

I received excellent customer service as well as a healthy, beautiful plant
5/5

I have a beautiful big leaf growing on one of my stalks, now I'm waiting for the blossoms to appear. A replacement stalk was sent to me immediately, no questions asked, when I contacted their customer service office due to the other stalk not setting roots properly. These folks took great care of me and provided amazing, compassionate service! I agree with the comments of other reviewers, I am very impressed with this company's products and customer service as well!.
