Questions & Answers

The weather in Philadelphia, PA wintertime is very unpredictable. Can it be outside all the ?

It is not something that I would do. Since we live in Phoenix, Arizona, we have to keep the plant inside when winter rolls around. Over the past month or so, the temperature has consistently been cool (35 degrees F). The plants will be kept outside starting at the end of February. It's hard to find tea olives that don't smell bad or grow well in a planter...we found it out hard with another tea olive.

Can you tell me how tall the tree is after it arrives?

When the tree arrives at its destination, it's about 16 inches tall.

These plants are very healthy and packed well
5/5

It is a seller I have previously bought from. A year after I received the plants, they are doing well. It was a pleasure to receive the plants I received today. A good way to cushion and insulate plants is by using corrugated cardboard. I found all plants to be in very good condition. Due to the additional plastic bags used to seal and close off the pot tight, the root balls remained intact during shipping. Though the pots had been deformed, the root balls had not been deformed. In fact, the ground was moist, not fully dried out (or course, we are in the It was easy to read the labels since all plants were labeled separately. There were no broken twigs on any of the plants, most likely as a result of the corrugated cardboard wrap which had been used to enclose each plant individually within In the box, there were clear instructions. It is not uncommon for me to purchase plants from online sellers. We don't have a ton of options when it comes to woodland types of gardens in our local nurseries. While online purchases are mostly good for me, I have mixed experiences with them. Since then I have formed a "short list" of companies that I come back to over and over again. Except for one exception, it is necessary to modify this rule. It is important to note that a company by the name of Tennessee Wholesale Nursery is a true scam. If you search online for woodland type garden plants (ferns, azaleas, camellias, etc. ) they are displayed prominently. It is not a place to buy from. The plants will only be in the form of parts, not the entire plant. They do not disclose this information on their website during the purchasing process. On that page, it looks as if you received potted plants (5") in a nursery vase. It was either dead on arrival, or it didn't flourish after it was planted. There is no way to get in touch with them after the sale. The rant was not intended to be offensive. There are different outlets for me to share my experiences, which I wish existed. This order was very well received by me and I will definitely buy again from New Life Nursery & Pet Supplies My garden looks great today and a year ago, not just because the plants arrived in great condition, but also because the online information was accurate and reflected what I received.

The second time I ordered from this seller through Amazon, this time I'm not sure if it's a real tea olive
3/5

I am not sure if it's genuine tea olive. a good experience with my first purchase for another type, but it didn't last long because I waited for the spring flower to bloom. I ordered this new type after the fall, so I didn't receive flowers. Due to the leaf not identifying as orange tea olive, this rating is given. Once I have verified that it is authentic, I will update this post.

It comes in a very good package
5/5

My initial reaction was to be skeptical about the packaging. That went so well! I was surprised! completely protected the plant and kept it in excellent condition. A second page contained instructions, pots and watering, as well as how to take care of the plant the There has been more than a month since my baby tree was planted, and it looks very content. My dreams of having flowers with amazing aromas someday are coming true!.

I was very satisfied with the packaging
5/5

I was impressed with the speed with which the plant was delivered. It was very well packaged as well. Having transplanted it into a pot, it appears to be doing pretty well. Plants like this are not available in my neighborhood nurseries, and I'm not really sure how it will hold up when I buy it online. However, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I hope it will grow well in my garden in the coming months.
