Because my mother adores lilacs, I ordered two of these in a three gallon pot as a Mother's Day gift. When the first package arrived, it contained the incorrect plant, as well as a gift receipt bearing someone else's name and address! I contacted Amazon, who informed me that they would ship me the correct order the Monday following Mother's Day. There's no need to be concerned. The first one arrived on Tuesday, extremely dry but still blooming and alive, and I called Amazon to inquire about the status of the second one I ordered, as my account showed both had arrived. They assured me that it would be delivered the next day and offered me a $15 credit for my skepticism. The second one, unfortunately, was nearly dead when it arrived. All of the leaves had shriveled and fallen off due to the extreme dryness. The branches were not brittle, but they were still flexible, and there were a few bright green new growth branches. I'm hoping that with some tender loving care and fertilizer, I'll be able to nurse it back to health and give it to my mother as a farewell present. br>br>Overall, this purchase has disappointed me.
**Update** The seller contacted us after reading this review and sent us two new ones as compensation for our troubles. I'm pleased to report that, nearly two years later, both have thrived and we've had no problems. Thanks! br>br>Because we've had good luck with PW plants and shrubs in the past, I bought this one and planted it in mid- to late May. It came with flowers and growth, so I was looking forward to seeing it flourish like our Dwarf Korean lilac. Unfortunately, it died after only a month in the ground. We watered it on a regular basis; It has good drainage and has been well maintained. I'm not sure why or how it got this way, but it's now brown and leafless. It brown. It dead. It gone. I'm hoping it pops up again next year in some form or another.
We used to have a forsythia hedge in front of a chain link fence, so we bought gallon bushes to replace it. We usually prefer to support local businesses and nurseries, but ordering directly from Proven Winners through Amazon was such a better deal than going to our local nurseries. Compared to $100, the cost is only $46! And there's no shipping charge! All of the plants appeared to be in excellent health. We're extremely happy! I can't wait to put these new babies in front of them, along with some nepeta cats pajamas. It'll look stunning! br>I'll post more pictures after I've planted them. Thank you so much, Proven Winners! A+!.
This Lilac was supposed to go dormant at the end of the season. On March 18th, they were dispatched from Ohio to Zone 4 Minnesota. It has already begun to sprout leaves and blooms, so I won't be able to plant it outside until May 20th! Thankfully, my call was returned, and I was given the advice to keep it in the house, in a window, for full sun, and harden it off in May, when it will be able to go outside, as it is not poisonous to my cats.
I went with the larger 3 gallon size and planted it the next day after receiving it. The size of the plant that I received was satisfactory. It's only been a week since it was planted, and it's already sprouting new leaves. I'm excited to see it grow and blossom. So far, my purchase has been a great success!.
I ordered two 3 gallon plants, one of which was fine and the other of which should have been thrown away because it was half the size of the first and nearly dead, but I planted it anyway and it hasn't improved after a month. I will not purchase from them in the future.
The package was extremely well-protected and arrived in perfect condition. It was in perfect condition and appeared to be a very healthy plant.
The tree was lovely and full when it arrived. Before planting, I let it acclimate to our environment for a few days before putting it in my garden. It fought for a few weeks before succumbing to the elements and dying. I was really looking forward to seeing these blooms, so I'm disappointed.
