Questions & Answers
There is a hole drilled through the Pine Tree cylinder from the top of the cylinder to the bottom of the cylinder on all the Pine Tree logs. The caveat, however, is the following. In some cases, the seed or nut material itself can partially obstruct the hole. Thus, you just need to push a bit more hard on the rod you're using to mount the log so it will go through.
As a matter of fact, I quite like the way it is stored in the plastic container- To prevent things from falling out of my bag quickly, I just thump it a couple times and store it upside down. It is an excellent product that my birds love as well
As far as I know, it does not have a net, but I have never seen any problems with seed falling These birds make sure that there are none there, and it's very clean there- I as well as my birds love this log.
To use a feeder, you need to put a log in it

Normally, we purchase our logs and cylanders from a company that specializes in wild birds. However, our local shop went under and we were forced to look for alternative sources. It was fascinating for the birds to see this Cylander, but they seemed to be having a difficult time coping with While we did have a significant amount of activity during the week, the amount didn't seem very substantial. Our local store ultimately ordered from the parent company of the one we used to shop at and we compared them side by side. Although the seed composition did not seem much different the birds preferred the other company. Despite our best efforts, we ended up putting the seed on the ground, but even the squirrels were having trouble freeing it from the soil. At least for our birds here in Florida, I feel the mixture is OK, but the gelatin or other bonding agent is too strong.
There is a severe overprice and the packaging is horrendous. I first have to say Examine better brands from your competitors I would recommend Mr Bird or Wild Birds Unlimited for you. Seeds with millet and other fillers perched birds do not even eat or drop to the ground - Whenever birds eat it they eat it of course. It is literally a waste of Add to that the fact that the seeds are in a non-recyclable plastic container like the ones Chinese food comes in, which you have to cut open because they don't come out-- and that means it may not be recyclable. There is no point in spending money and time on this. In addition to that, the wasteful packaging is bad for the environment. This is absurd.
This product is for you if you want to stop wasting your money on bags of seed that birds just throw on the ground, which then attracts glutton pigeons, starlings, and grackles. While you may not see as many birds at once as you would with loose seed, your wallet will appreciate this choice. I find that one 40lb bag of seed lasts about five days and I see up to 50 pigeons eating the seed at once in my yard. A time period of 3 to 4 WEEKS occurs during which no scavenger birds are found.
It's okay to have seed logs in the SEAdog brand but the packaging is terrible. I wonder why the seed logs are put in plastic containers that make it impossible for them to be removed without damaging them. I am not happy with the packaging change and will not buy as much seed.
It comes in a plastic container, but does not have any sort of outer net, hook, or other method of attachment. In the directions, it says it needs to be attached to a How do I feed it? Is there something I have to buy in addition to.
It comes in a plastic cup so it will stay fresh. For such a low price, a nice size seed log is just perfect! It is one of my favorites! I'll definitely order it Fruit, nuts, and seeds abound in this delicious bowl.
I have received the product as expected. Nevertheless, I am getting very frustrated with "2 Day Prime Delivery". I am almost ready to drop Amazon Prime because I can't get my orders promptly delivered.
