There is no practical comparison when it comes to getting rid of flies in your house. The bug*a*salt not only effectively repels flies, but it also fulfills a primal hunting instinct. br>br>Easy to operate (apart from the dreaded safety switch that must be turned after each discharge). 6 - A direct hit An average fly will be killed at a distance of 8 inches. A glancing shot or a shot from further away will prevent it from flying, making a double tap easy. If you don't get close enough, you'll just pepper the fly. br>br>A thicker grain salt is recommended. Advanced User Advice: br>br>
- Follow the fly's pattern and drop it from the sky by leading it 2 inches. br>- (Not recommended) A fly may only land on your arms and legs at times. I've had to resort to shooting them out of my limbs. To avoid receiving a welt, it's best to keep the barrel's tip as far away as possible.
- (not recommended) I've heard that bug*a*salt can be opened and the safety turned off. (not that I'd ever attempt it).
On my front porch, I'm drinking beer and eating flies. There isn't a better way to spend a Friday night than with my friends.
It's actually quite well built, and it should only be handled by responsible people. I ordered the second version/model. 5 and I must say that there is a significant difference between the original and this version. I came across one of the original versions several years ago and thought it was quite interesting. I only got to play with it for a few minutes because it belonged to a friend, but I decided I wanted one for myself, so I went out and ordered one. I was surprised when it arrived because the version I received was not the same as the one I remembered. This item is heavy, and getting it ready to fire takes some effort. The auto safety feature (a small thumb switch that gets actuated each time it's readied to fire, preventing accidental discharge) is brilliant in my opinion. When shooting around other people or pets, be cautious because this thing fires a significant amount of salt that isn't to be taken lightly. I've only used coarse ground salt in it so far, but I imagine using fine or extra fine would change the shooting characteristics, but overall, it does exactly what it says it does and is well worth the money. We keep the thickness of the bug pest population thin by using this and the zapper racket. If you know how to follow directions, it's very easy to use. And it warms my heart every time I hear a distressed shrill scream because someone has seen a bug and I can rush in to help.
The most effective method for killing flies and other insects, with a high success rate and a lot of fun. This is an excellent gift for any gun enthusiast or fly hater. br>Would buy again and recommend to others!.
He loves it even more, and my father may be receiving one soon. It's a fantastic product that I highly recommend!.
It's simple to use and enjoyable to "play" with. In the warehouse where I work, I took out a few flies and other small insects. It took several shots to dispatch a wasp, but it was only about 6 feet away.
There's nothing quite like the adrenaline rush of going on a hunt. In the middle of nowhere, it's just man and beast. A warrior who moves quietly and deftly. Every movement was carefully chosen, and each step was placed with skill. Surveying the surroundings and patiently waiting for the right moment. The beast comes to a halt, sensing something but oblivious to the fact that death is approaching. The tense atmosphere is palpable. His weapon was raised in the air. The hunter has his sights set on the prey. I have my finger on the trigger. Taking a deep breath. A pause. The tension was palpable. . . br>br>The silence was broken! A sudden burst of energy pierced the air with lethal precision. With the force of a thousand grains of salt, the kill smashes into the window behind it, and silence falls once more. The fly was doomed from the start.
The flies were driving me insane!br>br>There's something gratifying about stalking the little critters. br>br>I got 12 in less than 20 minutes, after months of struggling to keep the fly population under control. I have to say, this was a lot more effective than I expected, and it was also a lot of fun.
