Questions & Answers

Here are the assembly The box did not come with instructions for assembly. Do you have a copy of the book?

dovetails are meant to interlock, so take two sides and a front (or back), making sure all the handles are on the curved side down, and press the interlocking pieces together with both sides and the end piece together first. Keeping it together, repeat the same procedure on the other end of the board and add nails every other peg or so. To create frames, take the longest widest piece, fit the shorter sides over each end, fit a screen panel in the groove, and then take the slender long piece and clamp it to the opposite end of the side pieces until you have each framed screen made. A nail with small nails on the ends to keep it in place. The box is complete and the frames are ready. After the box is together and the frames are ready you can drop in the wider frame like a file folder and you're done.

The joinery is excellent and the overall appearance is excellent
5/5

I believe that. As you can see, it's a Langstroth hive with 10 frames. I tested some equipment from a different manufacturer and found it to all work. Lumber of this quality or better should be considered commercial grade or higher. There are a few knots on the rope, but none are loose, and there are none on the Rather than the standard box joint for the deep in medium, there are dovetails instead, which went together easily and are tight, very impressive. The only downside to this is that these are waxed, so they cannot be painted or otherwise finished. fit perfectly, the lumber was perfectly clear and the fitting was perfect. With a foundation like this one, which has a coating of beeswax, I would use it as it is without adding more as is usual with plastic ones. It only has one flaw to me that I noticed there are no pilot holes for the nails to be used for assembly of the boxes. Nonetheless, I use a pneumatic crown stapler for that, and similarly for We have completed assembly of both the cover and the bottom board. I highly recommend this setup for anyone who is a beginner. In addition to a feeder, protective gear, tools, and mite treatment method, you need only purchase a feeder and protective gear. What a great idea!.

It is a great product but the assembly instructions are terrible
4/5

The hive seems well made and fitted together as it should. Everything fits well together and appears properly There was no looseness or slop in the dovetail joints. Outer boards are made of waxed wood and are Even though I made a number of complaints, the whole thing turned out to be flawless. I urge you to read on. In the directions, there is a joke, but it is not a good joke or a funny joke, it is an awkward joke that makes everyone feel I. A.
. The directions booklet is poorly designed (in the space available) There is only one booklet in the "book" it is only 81/2 x 11). The pamphlet is made by folding a piece of glossy paper 5" x 11" into four pages. The following is the definition of (
a large font that there is no way to purchase their products from anyone else. There is no other information on their entire site other than their logo (BeeCastle [Released Trademark]) and the odd phrase "THE UNITED STATES TRUSTWORTHY BRAND. ". Above, there is 4 inches of white space. Below, there is 3 inches of white space. Only a few inches of the last page have pictures (of an 8-inch length) that are supposed to show me how to construct the hive, but they are even smaller and less helpful than the others (see below) and end up being useless because there is no detail to see. I.
It was stated that they had intended to print better, larger assembly photographs, but instead used an entire page of this booklet to display 16 slightly larger photos I agree with you that they spent more time and effort encouraging me to spend more money with them than they did actually helping me build the hive correctly. I thought these little photos would be interesting. I can barely press my thumb across each of the 16 photos contained in the assembly portion of the instruction booklet. A picture of that size cannot be scrutinized for details, variations, and subtleties. 1. 2. 3. The description is vague. Or it could be described as "Undescriptive" To be accurate, one would need to be descriptive. It is especially unhelpful because of the photos
Personally, I would like to talk to The following steps are the first step. The front of my shirt should be like this I would like to point out first of all that the photo referenced in this paragraph is not below but above the Is there anything you want to know about The photo will look good whichever way it is facing. There is no point in it. *BR>Step 2 and 3 are generally the same, and Step 4 is generally the same as Step 3. The second step is to The joints of the dovetail joint should be attached to the front and back of the side. This is probably a great picture of dovetail joints, but it's difficult to tell from the picture. It has been mentioned that Tiny equals useless. The next step is step three. Put together the top and bottom of (It can be seen in the picture that Side 1 is standing with the front The steps of "Step 4" are as follows Attach side 2 to the first. Let me just go ahead and explain step 5 to you. You don't want to guess, do you? In Step 5, repeat Step 4 twice. Make the front ready by assembling it". Many thanks to the Bee team!
The following are the steps for step 8, which stands for In Step 8 there are two things to do It is time to finish the beehive box". It looks like I need to move on to the next section. I guess I should do that as the assembler says. The wood pieces I built just look nearly identical to the ones I have here? I mean, why do I have all of these similarly looking pieces? There are no notes in these beautiful instructions that you need to repeat this twice, so you'll have two framed beehive boxes. That's all you have to do. The following steps deserve honorable mention prior to doing so Do X as shown in the first picture until it appears as shown in They put two small pictures on the same page, as if one picture wasn't unhelpful enough. The fourth point. The frames should be assembled as follows Rather than repeat myself, I will state here that most of the problems outlined above have been addressed in this section as well, including the misspelling and the failure to indicate that each step should be performed twice. However, the photographs are far I DO NOT FEEL TREATABLE! Put a tiny picture of a stick on the top bar, like a top bar with this kind of picture. My plan is just to find something long and move to it. I will proceed to steps 2 and 3. Identify the side bar 1" and assemble it. It looks like another stick is next to the first stick in this picture. You might just have a broken stick on the first stick. Such as, etc. The etc. %5. A tiny picture of the inner cover appears in the section listing what is in the package, but is incorrectly identified as the "Bottom and Entrance Reducer", which are actually shown in the next picture hiding under the outer cover and identified as the It is as if the person who produced the instructions has no idea what the difference between the bottom and the inner cover is. 6 *. Two different sizes of screws (which the directions call nails) are provided. But it isn't enough screws to do what needs to be done. In the instructions, it is not mentioned at all. You can safely assume it is of no consequence The answer is yes). I. 7. In addition to the 30 nails (that they call nails), there are a few extras. The nails are supposed to be forty (for the 10 frame version), but they sent In regards to the frames, I'm still unclear regarding whether my nails were supposed to be longer or not, because they seemed more concerned about the screws than the nails, unlike the nails. NOTE Don't be afraid to ask for help! It does state somewhere that you can apply glue to the corners of the frames before nailing them. Optional or not, this is not really an option. A lack of glue will cause them to fall apart eventually. This is 8. This is the part where it's time to stack the beauties. Oh yes, the instructions are on the back page of the book. (Check point 1B for additional perspective. ) The pictures 4, 5, & 6 show more perspectives of the event. The panels in Figures 6 and 7 appear to be the same (at the minuscule proportions shown) and, since they previously inaccurately identified "bottom board" and "inner cover", at least they get it right now by showing them in the correct order (I assume). Unfortunately, the pictures are so tiny that it is hard to tell if they are real or not. Let it never be said that I do not have a knack for solving problems Hereby, I offer my services to Bee Castle so that they may write better instructions with better and more helpful pictures (significantly better ones). In return, I would appreciate two 10 frame hives being sent to me to assemble and photograph so that better instructions can be given. A bargain like that is hard to beat. Please reach out to me, or just send me hives and a contract, and I'll provide awesome directions within 21 days of receiving it.

The Quality Hive strikes me as a very good beehive, its dovetail joints are superb and fit perfectly, and I would recommend this hive to anyone
5/5

Last season I owned two, and I plan to own another For those who have given bad reviews about wood splitting, fix it before you submit your review Before gluing, drill holes first. Do not glue before nailing.

I wouldn't want to spend any more money on it because it's too It is important to prepare the exterior for waxing
3/5

A poor quality of wood. If nails are split, the nail will split. There is no quality in the wood. If nails are split, the nail will split. Some of the sides of the vehicle were not There are spots of wax on the house that can't be painted due to the seller not responding. Buy if you need a temporary hive for a short period of time. But don't buy if you believe it will last for A 2 week period has left the exterior wood with mildew. I am missing a few frames from a broken video. There's a better hive assembly kit that you can buy online, costs less, and comes with more features than that of the existing hive. Walmart makes a better kit that you can order online and it includes more features.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Buyers' remorse not to be found There are only a few small flaws with the pieces that make up the hive body, such as small tears on a couple of edges, nothing wrong with the frames, nothing missing from the package, and one suggestion for future purchasers
4/5

As I put the hive body together, I found the nails provided a bit too beefy, and I ended up pre-drilling Following a crack in a few of the dovetails, we drilled new holes. In any case, it turned out just as I had hoped.

I am very pleased with your customer service
5/5

Having received a damaged package from shipping, the customer contacted customer service. The problem isn't the fault of BeeCastle, It is not uncommon for shipping companies to treat things rough. For fixing the issue, they sent me an entire new hive. (*Glad to say dovetails were spot on, and the joints were There is no comparison between the strength and quality of box joints and dovetails. There is pre-drilling and counter-sinking for the holes. Knots are rare in the wood and it is nice to see There is a generous coating of wax on everything. You can assemble it in no time at all. Had to look at the instructions, but that was no problem. The frames are It all looks great and all pieces are identical in size and shape. Despite the difference in sizes, they are all very well fitting and easy to assemble. As for the foundations, they are great quality as well as having good wax. * All screws/nails are included in the package As a whole The kit is definitely worth the money. This is a company from which we will be buying more kits and supers in the future.

The foundation of one large building is missing
5/5

Becoming a beekeeper for the first time. Our first hive is very exciting, as this is our first one. We discovered that one of the large foundations was missing after opening the box and counting everything. The frame was ready, but the foundation was not. Still gave it five stars, as it was, in fact, a very nice beehive and I plan to order from this seller again in the future. The miscount was a simple mistake, after all.
