Although I live in Florida, this wasn't something I was looking for, however, I looked at the specs and the North American Model is referred to as a RAIN/FREEZE sensor, so I'd say it's a checked my unit, and sure enough I have a freeze setting. In case of a freeze, the system will shut down. I highly recommend this program. It is incredibly easy to set up, operate and enjoy. Thanks for reading.

The irrigation controller has been updated with this. Setting up the system is easy. The transmitter sends a wireless signal to a nearby controller after being attached to a gutter near by. I went outside on the first rain and saw that the little reservoir had filled up and the irrigation controller had been An easy-to-use interface with nice graphics. It would be nice to have the option to.
I've been using it for three months and the battery has a full charge. I like the ability to check the water level right on the gauge. I would recommend this to anyone because it helps you save money.

The irrigation controller box doesn't seem to be operating correctly so I'm moving it closer to the irrigation controller. The instructions state it is able to communicate (wirelessly) up to 700 feet away however the sensor is much closer to that than that and only intermittently displays that it is connected. Since I had to drill a hole in my gutter to attach the bracket, I am not happy with the fact.
Some times it doesn't work and sometimes irrigation still kicks on after a decent rain. Though it may seem strange, over the long run it will save a lot of money if it works the majority of the time.
I was unable to get it to operate the irrigation system despite following each step carefully. The irrigation system had to be turned on again after shutting off the rain sensor. In this case, the device does not serve its purpose.
