It's possible to use well water even if it's hard. When you order the Hunter Sizes ( Distances ), make sure that you organize these nozzles so that you will know precisely how far each one There are 10 different Hunter Nozzles for various DISTANCES, one for each diameter. Hunter does not mark the plastic nozzle for identification (only the top is colored). Homeowners who are interested in doing it themselves will find this book extremely helpful.

This is exactly what we needed as one of our sprinklers didn't reach far enough and caused a very dry patch at the edge of our yard. The sprinkler heads were exactly as described and we are very satisfied with them. Also, it was helpful to know the differences between the models so that we could select the right spray distance and type.

You can get great spray heads that allow you to control the pattern of water flow so not to get water in unwanted areas. The Hunter popup irrigation heads can be directly replaced with this.
