The smaller 'plant nannies' have threaded inserts, but the larger ones I received as a gift did not have them. a wonderful addition to the garden ware, as well as being extremely helpful. br>Thank you for your time, LKBJ.
They are far too large for a small 6 inch diameter pot, in my opinion. The flowers would be dwarfed by the wine bottle. When you're on vacation, I suppose you could put them in a small pot and use a smaller bottle. In a 12-inch or larger pot, it's fantastic. I also use it in areas of my flower garden where I find it difficult to water on a regular basis.
There is no way. The neck of the wine bottle is too big for this particular plant nanny. Another type of plant nanny with a larger diameter that will fit wine bottles is available.
I haven't tried them with any glass yet - All of them were returned. It would have to be a miniature plant. For 12 oz to be worth the trouble, the weather must be extremely mild. In a garden center, I noticed a "new" type of Plant Nanny brand - There isn't a single piece of plastic in it. Ceramics is a huge part of it - It appears to be the right size for a 1. Wine bottle with a capacity of 75 litres. As I previously stated, the type shown does not work because it immediately releases the water. I have an older, round set that works perfectly with 2 litre btls- I'm not sure if they're "plant nanny," but they're no longer available in the variety I have. I recommend that you look up ideas for watering plants while you are away on the internet.

These are fantastic for my raised garden beds that I purchased. The SmartWater bottles are actually quite attractive. Installing and using them was a breeze for me. The key, I believe, is to soak the ceramic in water for a few hours (I did 2-hours). 3 hours) before planting directly into the soil. True, there was a stench, but it went away after several hours of soaking in water. Because I didn't have enough bottles the first time, I soaked them twice; the water slowly leaked out, and my herbs seemed to enjoy them. This product has made me very happy.
Houseplants will love it! I'm increasing the number of stars in my reviews. I couldn't find a bottle that fit into the threads to use these "plant nanny" waterers because I couldn't find a bottle that fit into the threads. When I first published the fictitious article, As a result of my review, I was contacted by a representative from Plant Nanny. br>br>After using the bottles they suggested, I now have exactly what I was looking for when I purchased them. The plastic bottles from Coca-Cola and Pepsi (as well as possibly others) have longer necks and screw into the plant nanny securely. They are extremely effective. They simply do not work with all types of water bottles.
Terra cotta absorbs a lot of water, so I figured that if the stakes were already damp when they went into the ground, they'd be less likely to absorb moisture from the bottles. Then I watered my plants properly (I use these on tomato plants) - I drank almost twice as much water as I normally would on a regular basis - to allow the soil to absorb a significant amount of water Then I inserted the Plant Nanny into the soil and attached the water bottle (I use Smart Water bottles with the labels peeled off - see below). They're quite stylish. They're unobtrusive and unassuming in appearance, so they don't draw too much attention in my yard). Everything is in order. When I first put the bottle in the Plant Nanny, it didn't release any water, but it has been slowly releasing water over the days. My tomatoes were the only plants that didn't have drip irrigation, and I was constantly forgetting to water them. These have come in handy a number of times.
Is there anything else you could want? Plant Nanny is also available in a variety of sizes to care for a variety of greenery, including houseplants and garden plants. You should be aware of the following: It is not possible to use every type of plastic bottle. Fortunately, Plant Nanny provides excellent customer service, and the best plastic bottles to use for the house plant version, according to the quick response I received, are: The adapters also work with Pepsi or Coca-Cola plastic bottle products. br>br>Smart Waterbr>Dasanibr>Aquafinabr>Fijibr>Evianbr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br br>br>I love this product and will soon be purchasing a larger version to water my tomato plants, allowing me to check another item off my to-do list.
Uses a variety of plastic bottles of various sizes to achieve the desired effect. They arrived in extremely sturdy packaging to prevent breakage. The green screw-on plastic connector parts are made of fairly durable plastic and can easily support a full 2L bottle of water. Before using them, I let them soak overnight. I used these for three large outdoor potted plants, and they haven't died or wilted yet. From July to August, I put them to the test in Texas with 2L soda bottles in direct sunlight. They held up well in August. The water reservoir in one of my pots with two plants lasted six days, while the water reservoir in another pot with only one plant lasted a week. That means you can go away for a week and not return to dead plants if you use 2L soda bottles. I also recommend Sams Cola 2L bottles because they are inexpensive but durable, allowing you to dump that bad soda for pennies on the dollar. Since other 2L bottles (Canada Dry) were more flimsy and didn't hold the water as well, I went with 80 and was ready to go. I also put them to the test with 20oz water bottles, and the water supply lasted about two hours. Despite the fact that it took three days to complete, the task was completed successfully. The flimsy 170z water bottles are not recommended; they work, but not as well as the larger bottles.
It appeared to be straightforward. Place a bottle of water in the hollow stake, and they'd water my plants for days with the help of the little plastic spout. The bottle must be placed directly on top of the stake, and the plastic must form a suction with the stake's top, or the water will flow out in a single stream. Any slight movement of the bottle, whether caused by wind, animals, or something else, breaks the seal, allowing all of the water to escape over the top of the stake. I've even tried putting a stake near them and securing the plastic bottle to it, but the seal still breaks. Every night, I fill it up, and the next morning, it's empty. You can't use it to go on vacation and have your plants watered while you're gone.
I don't always have time to run home at lunch to water the plants to keep them alive during the hottest part of the day, but these little gems come in handy. I read in another review that smart water bottles are compatible with the green bottle adaptor, and they are. My cement courtyard is surrounded by potted plants of various sizes. While I water before and after work, the well-developed trees will deplete the water in the pot before I get home from work to water again, so I put in one or two of the plant nanny stakes with a water bottle attached and they manage through the entire day. I simply fill the bottles at night, and when I water in the morning, I place the bottles on the stake, and I'm set for the day! These guys will keep me from having to water for a day or two in the cooler months, which is very nice; I've purchased 64 total with the bottle adaptors, and when I made a mistake and ordered the wine bottle stakes (which are hard to come by in Riyadh), the company was super responsive and helped me out a lot! (Maria gets a thumbs up!) It's a fantastic company with an even better product.
