Have you ordered these bushings for Pat's CAT 2 easy change, and if so, how well do they work? I ordered bushings for Pat's CAT 2 hitch, but they don't fit. They're about a quarter of an inch too large. To make them fit, I had to grind them down. Please let me know if these fit after you ordered them. Thank you very much!
Do the Cat 2 pins on your attachment have to be bolted on? If this is the case, you'll need to take them out and get Cat 1 pins (which we don't sell). If they're welded on rather than bolted on, another option is to buy a quick hitch that you can keep on your tractor.
ST50549 is a 7/16" x 1-inch roll pin. 3/8". If we are able to obtain your shipping address, the roll pins will be sent to you free of charge. You can reach us by dialing 717- 569- 3359 Thanks!
ST50281 is the part number.

I have a number of three-dimensional objects. I use point attachments on my iMatch- However, the small attachment pins on the Deere compact utility tractor made the attachments feel loose. This was especially problematic with my back blade, which had a habit of jumping out of the hitch when blading backwards. As a result, I was overjoyed to discover this product, which has completely resolved the issue I was having. I'm disappointed that my Deere dealer didn't offer these to me or even inform me that they existed. br>br>The only issue I had was with the roll pins, which were extremely difficult to hammer in, to the point where the hammered ends were mashed up by the time I got them all the way in. I'm used to roll pins, but I've never seen any that were quite this tight. I'm hoping I won't have to take them out again. br>br>Anyway, now that I've installed this product on my blade, everything is working better than ever, and I'm pleased with it.
Because I was using my John Deere 1025r with its original three point hitch setup (the thinner attachment pins), I was having trouble pushing snow in reverse with my box blade. I decided to look these up on Amazon instead of driving 20 minutes one way to the John Deere dealer after it jumped out of my quick hitch attachment several times during the last snowstorm. When they arrived, I went out to the box blade, lined up the bushing's holes with the holes on my box blade pins, and tapped in the metal bolt-like thing that was supposed to hold it in place. It only took me 5 minutes to complete. Now everything is in working order. There is a spare bushing piece. I'm guessing it's for other setups because I only needed one bushing piece.
All of the pieces are in good working order. The retaining pins were a little tight, but that was probably due to the old and rusted disk I was using to attach the bushings to. I'll admit that I was pleasantly surprised when the bushings easily slipped over the existing 3 point rod and the retaining holes actually lined up perfectly. It only took 15 minutes to set up. The most difficult aspect of installing the hook bushings was loosening the rusted bolts on the disk. I replaced the old bolt with a stainless steel bolt, so there should be no rust issues. If your tractor is already set up for Quick Hitch, I highly recommend installing this on any 3 point implements you have because it's a lot easier to install this on your implements than it is to remove the quick hitch on your tractor and then use the 3 point setup.
The roll pin is quite large, and it didn't fit into the hole in the link pin on my implement, as others have stated. When I first tried to push the pin in with a 20 ton press, it mushroomed about 3/4 of the way in. I sanded the mushroomed pin into the bushing's surface. I drilled a hole in the second link pin to accommodate the roll pin. br>br>On my implement, the top link bushing wouldn't slide over the pin. To make this work, I swapped out a John Deere pin for a slightly smaller top link pin I had. br>br>I use a Titan Tractor Drawbar with Suitcase Weight Bracket as my implement. I'm not sure if the issue is with the bushing kit or the Titan implement, but since others have had similar problems, the bushing kit could be the culprit.
It's great, and I like that it's an all-in-one package for easy installation. The issue is that the price could be around $20 to be honest, because you can buy these separately for just over $20 if you shop around and save off the $30 cost. If you don't have time to shop, however, this item will suffice. It works perfectly and has no problems supporting a 300-pound person. Blade length: 5'.
If your tractor has a quick hitch, you'll need these bushing kits to connect any attachments to the tractor's back. This kit impressed me as being of excellent quality and thoroughness. The top bushings are not included in some bushing kits, but they are included in this one.
Also, a quick note about the setup. Roll pins have a very tight fit. To get them started, I recommend using a bench vise. I did this for both sides, and the entire installation took less than 5 minutes. br>br>Reviewers who complain about how tight the roll pins go in are oblivious to the purpose of the roll pins.
Not happy with the product; in order to properly install these sleeves, you must hammer in the pin to keep them attached to the equipment (per directions). Because the pins must be hammered in, the directions were followed, and the pins will not/cannot be removed. All of the other similar items I've bought to make attachments quick hitch available have removable pins. Now I'm stuck with these things that I can't get rid of. I wouldn't recommend these unless you plan to leave them in place permanently.
