I wanted to be able to tow a 9 1/2 foot by 5 1/2 foot road-type vehicle. I'm able to move a legal trailer around my property without needing to use a large vehicle. My garden tractor has a Brinly sleeve hitch and plenty of power to tow the large trailer, even when it's loaded with tree and shrub prunings, construction materials, or yard debris. With this adaptor, I can get a 2-way signal. I have a 2-inch receiver that allows me to slide in a drawbar and a 2-inch receiver that allows me to slide in a drawbar. inch ball, and to get the big trailer where it needs to go without causing the deep ruts and divots that my car would. It only takes a few seconds to install or remove the adapter, and the hitch is far more tongue-friendly once installed. a weight capacity greater than the tractor's ability to handle You'll need to invest in a 2-pack of cigarettes. To complete the system, you'll need an inch drawbar with the appropriate drop/rise for your application, a ball, and a hitch pin for the sleeve hitch if you don't already have one. If you're using a ball hitch instead of a plow or harrow, you may need to adjust the sleeve hitch's angle to level it out. Of course, a two-star rating isn't insignificant. The inch receiver can also be used for other things like mounting carriers and racks, but I was trying to solve a problem with trailer towing. For me, this product works perfectly.
It fits perfectly and is a beast; I'm using it on an old garden tractor. I can use that hook to connect a log skidder, to attach my carryall or bike rack from the big truck, or to drag anything by slipping a log chain into it. I can also snug something up to it and use the powered sleeve hitch to lift it a little if I need to slide something under it by attaching a ratchet strap to the safety loops. It's a good idea to keep a heavy, all-purpose tool in your arsenal.
I have to carry the trash to the street, which is only about a tenth of a mile away, which is fine in the summer but cold and potentially slippery in the winter.
It works well; I mostly use it with my lawn tractor equipped with a sleeve hitch to move boat and utility trailers around the property.
As many others have stated, it is a little pricey, but it is worth it. br>THE STEEL IS GOOD AND HEAVY. I had no idea my sleeve hitch was so sturdy.
Allows 2-inch hitch accessories to be used. This allows me to attach 2" hitch accessories to my garden tractor's sleeve hitch.
This was purchased to be used on my small tractor. I no longer need to remove the sleeve hitch whenever I want to use my trailer. This can also be used to attach a cargo rack.
A craftsman sleeve hitch can be connected to the Heavy Hitch 2 inch receiver hitch.
