The shaft pin is made of high-quality spring steel and carbon steel that has been zinc-plated to prevent rust and corrosion.

Coupler latches, jack legs, pintle hooks, and other items are all secured with this 1/ 4 inch diameter pin.

Shape: The square and arch retainer wire clip allows for a quick latch and additional clearance.

The fastener eliminates cotter pin loss and is compatible with the majority of quick release applications.

How long do the pins last?

From end to end, it's about 9 inches long and 2.25 inches wide. I just took a micrometer to some extras and measured 3 inches of usable space between the inside of the head and the loop. I only measured the square one, but the curved one should be the same.

Carbon steel with zinc coating, according to the material, and stainless steel according to the specifications. Is it one of these? Is the silver made of stainless steel?

Not sure. It didn't matter to me what kind of material it was made of. They were required for my tree stand ladder.

It keeps its shape well. These latches were used to create an adjustable PVC solar panel rack for a 50 watt solar battery charger. Depending on the season, the pins can be rearranged to adjust the solar panel to a 45° angle or flat.
