My pavillion folds up in the wind and tries to blow away. I drilled a hole about 18 inches up from the bottom in each of the four legs. After that, I inserted one of these latch pins into each hole and suspended a bleach bottle filled with water from the pins. This will hold the pavillion in place, and if the wind picks up, I can tie a guy line to the pins and run it to a stake in the ground. When it's time to pack up, I simply remove the lock pins, empty the bleach bottles of water, and refasten the lock pins through the bleach bottle handles so they don't get lost. So far, they've performed admirably, and I've discovered enough uses for them around the house, on the boat, and at campgrounds to make me glad I purchased them. For strength, durability, and utility, I strongly recommend them.
I misplaced my car trailer's wire lock pin. I looked for different parts at Ace and Lowe's but couldn't find anything that worked. Yes, these are the parts you need to ensure the hitch latch does not lift off the ball. I found these and read the reviews saying they worked on modern trailers of my type. The added benefit is that there are several, so you can keep some attached to trailer parts and others in your truck's glove box.
It's great that you can buy these in bulk. It's a lot more cost effective, and they seem to be at least as strong as any other I've tried, so I'm giving them a 5/5.
Having a few of these in each of my trucks and Jeep is fantastic. I won't be upset if I lose a few during the year because they're inexpensive.
I use it to secure the latch on my utility trailer. It performs admirably. I wanted a backup in case I misplaced one and didn't want to use the others. It's sturdy, but it's also simple to put on and take off.
It performs admirably. The wire bail is not flimsy but rather thick. It's difficult to remove the pin, which is a good thing because it won't fall out during use.
Overall, the product is of excellent quality.
They work well, but I had to ream holes because the 3/8 in China does not appear to be the same as the 3/8 in the United States.
