I purchased an engine hoist, and the boom was secured in place with a nut and bolt combination. Although this appeared to be a good idea, it made adjusting the boom difficult. All I have to do with this hitch pin is remove the R pin, remove the hitch pin, slide the boom to where I want it, and replace it. It's simple to do. There is no need for additional tools. br>br>The original bolt had a metric rating of 4, and this is a grade 5 pin. As a result, they're both equal. I looked for a grade 8 but couldn't find one; however, that would have been excessive.
The shaft measures 3/4 inch in diameter plus the powder coat thickness. It won't fit in a 3/4" hole. To use the pin, I had to scrape away the powder coat. Aside from that, it's a good product; just remember to keep it greased to prevent rust.
I ordered these so that they would withstand the elements and not rust, but due to the powder coat, they are NOT 1/2in. I had to remove all of the powder coat from the shaft in order for it to fit. I know where to look for non-alcoholic beverages. For a third of the price, I found powder coated versions of this at my local big box store.
On my tractor's 3-point hitch, I use this for the main center connections. hitch point Tow a box blade that is 6 feet long. Holds firmly in place. It's simple to take hold of and take away.
It gets the job done! This pin held up perfectly while pulling a large trailer of hay with my Gator! br>For my smaller trailer, I'm going to get a smaller one!.
This is an excellent product! We purchased a small cart for our mower, but we needed a pin that was shorter than what was available locally. Very nice. The rubber coating was well done, and the weight was substantial. br>br>The clip is difficult to remove, but given the purpose of the pin, it's difficult to see how this is a problem. br>br>Do you have a secret advantage? br>br>The stickers are very easy to remove!.
Unfortunately, they use a cotter key that is very thin and weak.
I couldn't find one locally to attach to my kids' quad. Good value for money.
