Selected User Reviews For Diamine Fountain Pen Ink, Aurora Borealis, 30 mL
I enjoy the Diamine inks. There is a warning, however, that they do feather on many papers, so pick your papers carefully and test them first.
The tiny openings on these ink bottles will always be my only problem. The main reason is because I most often use a dip pen, so I either have to transfer the ink into a second used bottle of ink or buy a new one. The product does, however, have good color dispersion after drying and as it wears. Calligraphers appreciate the pigments they contain because they are so generous with them.
Gradient effect from a dark purple to its original color is actually quite cool. At first, the effects might not be visible but after a while it becomes more prominent. The diluting with distilled water I tried made it grainy and bled the letters, so I probably shouldn't have done it. As a whole, I like the color a lot!.
There are many reasons to love this ink, from its vibrant and rich color, to the ease of laying it down, and the ease of drying. The ink is a bit slower to dry than other inks, taking up to 15 seconds for During wet weather it does bleed a little, so, since it is not water-resistant. This is one of my favorite apps, and I use it everyday.
The color of this ink just so happens to be my favorite, and I've had no problems with it. There is one point to be noted If you intend to use this bottle, exercise extreme caution -- With its light weight plastic construction, rounded corners, and high center of gravity, it has a very high chance of tipping over. When I first used it, I barely touched it at all while printing. I was so close to tipping it over and spilling ink all over my desk and carpet that it almost happened. In the years since, I have always kept it in a small plastic container.
The ink I use from now on will be this one. Ink from the pen leaves a variety of different colors on the sheet when more ink is released. This is something I plan to purchase more of in the near future.
An ink that is deep teal in color. This ink flowed smoothly, had a reddish sheen, and shaded nicely when I used a wide nib. Since it isn't permanent, it isn't supposed to be water-resistant, but it still fails to do so. Diemine inks are consistently good inks that are wet and even in terms of saturation of color. Even though this smaller bottle does not offer the same great deal as their bigger brothers, it is still a great deal.
If you are looking for some ink to use with your fountain pens, I highly recommend this ink.
This ink is fantastic! You've done a good job shading the picture, the flow is perfect, and the color is beautiful. It's like "Emerald of Chivor" but without all the dazzling stones.
