I'm 53 years old and a huge fan of all things related to the workplace. This dry "tape" is, in my opinion, far superior to the old Liquid Paper of 30 years ago. It had been 40 years. br>br> As a result, I've restricted myself to using mechanical pencil in appointment books for decades, but now that I have this, I can use (the new, very thin) colorful pen sets to color code the type of appointment and use this dry tape atop if it's canceled. This dry tape is thinner (yet applies better) and comes out of the dispenser better (less slipping off track, resulting in broken tape that had to be reapplied, making it lumpy), making it a far better product than it was 20 years ago.
I've often been frustrated as a Southpaw by the fact that most correction tape is designed for right-handed people. use of one hand Other "universal" correction tapes are available, but Paper Mate is the best because it is easy to grip with either hand and rolls on smoothly. It comes fully assembled and ready to use. No need to take the caps off. For several years, this has been my only brand of choice.
Because I work as a secretary, I use correction tape. I've experimented with a variety of brands. This is a typical one. It covers well and is easy to write on, but, like the others, it tears occasionally. When I'm in need of some, I'll try a different kind.
Love it! It was purchased in January, and the first one was completed just yesterday. Advantages: br>br> br>It doesn't jam or come loose easily. If that's the case, there's a manual winder that you can use with any of your fingers. Due to "hooks" that keep the tape in place and ensure smooth application, tape does not run off the tip at all. br>It is difficult to open, and it will not pop open if dropped. br>Small, with a length of 4" and a width of 1. With a length of 5" from top to bottom, it's much easier for my small hands to hold. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>Tape width is narrow: 1/5"; if your writing is large, you may need to go over any errors twice. br>Peels off in places if ink is still wet; this applies to going over the tape a second time or writing on top of it. If you use ballpoint pens or wait for the ink to dry completely, this will not be an issue. br>The shape is unusual and requires some adjustment. Other: br>br>Other: br>br>Other: br>br>Oth br>The image used by Amazon differs from the one I received, but it appears to be a color scheme difference rather than a difference in the product itself.
In general, I prefer corrective tape to liquid tape because it dries quickly and allows you to write on it right away. While this product accomplishes this, it can be finicky about the tape material separating from the plastic ribbon, resulting in the tape material not being applied to your paper. To make it work, you must apply just the right amount of pressure. br>br>However, I prefer Liquid Paper's applicator to others because it is not biased toward the right-hand side of the paper. People who are left-handed (because some applicators are designed to be used right-handed) I'd buy it again, but I would warn people that you must be patient with it in order for it to work properly.
I've previously used and enjoyed Office Depot tape correctors. The small plastic guides on either side of the tape as it slides around the roll are raised and somewhat sharp, so if you're trying to white out two lines immediately above and below each other, the plastic scrapes off part of the first line you put down while you're trying to apply the subsequent line. I suppose this might be ok for some uses where there's enough space between areas to be corrected; I'm using them on a very fine spreadsheet grid where I'm forced to enter data by hand (gasp!). I know, I can't believe it either, but there is no other option for what I'm doing. Yet!.
This is by far the best liquid paper available. It is sturdy and simple to use, and unlike others on the market, it does not fall apart. I'll be able to use it until the tape is finished.
It does take some practice, and I discovered that holding the cartridge almost flat against the paper surface is crucial for a smooth tape job. I discovered that covering up large mistakes requires caution so as not to end up with multiple layers, as the covered surface will tear. easily; It's the white stripping, not the paper.
