30 October 2018: Taken from Wikipedia: The exact composition of correction fluid varies by manufacturer, but the majority of fluids contain an opacifying agent and a solvent (or thinner). A combination of titanium dioxide, latex, and other polymer resins can be used as the opacifying agent. Thinner used to contain toluene, which was banned because of its toxicity. It later contained 1,1,1-tetrahydrofuran-1,1-tetrahydro trichloroethane, a skin irritant that has been widely banned under the Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer, and then trichloroethylene, which is slightly safer. Bromopropane is one of the current thinners for correction fluid.
Because the tape does not stay aligned, it does not dispense correctly, and there is no way to adjust the feed tension.

It was difficult to open the first time I used it, and it refused to go onto the paper. Then, when it finally came out, it was uneven. Half of the corrector tape would remain on the roll, while the other half would be used to correct errors in the paper. It started to get tangled after that. For many years, I've used a different brand. I'm not sure why making this would be so difficult. br>I was completely let down. Because there was an Amazon click coupon deal, I chose this over my usual brand. I should've just stuck with the good one the whole time. It was a good lesson.
ZERO OUT OF FIVE STARS- THE BRAND "LIQUID PAPER" SHOULD BE USED. BIC, I'M SORRY, BUT THESE ARE GARBAGE. I'LL BE SURPRISED IF I CAN USE THE WHOLE ROLL. I BOUGHT A 10PK AND THOUGHT I WAS GETTING A GOOD DEAL, BUT I HAVE ALREADY THROWN OUT 4 THAT HAVE GOTTEN TANGLED AND OR BROKE INSIDE THE REWIND MECHANISM, WHICH MAKES MINE A 6-. AS A REPLACEMENT, PK. IF YOU'RE GOING TO SEND OUT A CORRECTION PRODUCT, AT LEAST MAKE SURE IT CAN PERFORM THE CORRECTION. FROM AN ENGINEERING POINT OF VIEW, I THINK YOU'RE PUTTING THE PRODUCT ON "SIDEWAYS" AS OPPOSED TO THOSE COMPETITORS WHO ARE PUT ON WITH VERTICAL PRESSURE, AND THIS COULD BE THE PROBLEM. ONE WAY OR THE OTHER - BUYING IS NOT RECOMMENDED. IF YOU MAKE IT THROUGH THE ENTIRE TAPE, YOU WILL BE LUCKY.
BUYING IS A MISTAKE. INACCURATE. I had no idea white outs could perform in such a variety of ways, but believe me when I say, DO NOT BUY THIS WHITE OUT. There are so many flaws in it that it's ridiculous. If you're whiting out the same spot or part of a spot over and over again, the damn thing either picks up the first layer and nothing gets deposited onto the paper OR it shreds the previous strip of white out and/or the paper. I've tried increasing and decreasing the amount of pressure I use, but I'm still having issues. Writing on it with any medium at any pressure can sometimes cause it to tear! Or the ink smudges because it doesn't dry! This completely defeats the purpose of the exercise! Almost every time I try to white out something, I run into issues and have to start over. Do it a few times for a few minutes each time. It is, in fact, a complete farce. It's probably best if I don't use it at all. It really messes up my writing! It is IMPOSSIBLE to put into practice. DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. Every time I use this device, which is unfortunately quite frequently, I become frustrated!.
I've attempted two ten-minute exercises. This tape is available in unit boxes. Out of the box, about half of the units were unusable. The tape had become fouled and was unable to adhere to the page. Others gave up after a few corrections, tearing, crimping, or otherwise becoming ineffective. Before giving up, none of them had used all of their tapes. br>br>I attempted to slowly apply the tape. I attempted to manually extract some. Everything I could think of was put to the test. But it was in vain. BUT, once I got a unit to work, it was a fantastic experience and a very useful tool. It's pointless to spend any money on a product that doesn't work the majority of the time.
I purchased a ten dollar bill. 4 of the tapes have been over-wrapped so far. Due to the fact that it stuck to the paper, it had to be extended. Is there no way to put it back together?.
They work maybe twice before the tape inside becomes mis-aligned, and they constantly jam and fall apart. if it's not aligned, it won't feed through. br>br>At work, we use Staples brand white out tape, so I bought this one thinking the brand wouldn't matter, but BOY was I wrong. The staples brand is fantastic, but bic makes me want to cut my wrists off.
This version of Bic wite-out does not meet my expectations. The tape on one of them broke almost immediately after it was taken out of the box. The white masking tape does not adhere to the paper. Regrettably, these do not compare to the Eco version.
I bought this box of correction tape based on the price and brand name, knowing that Wite-Out and BIC would do the job. When it comes to homework, my two teenage daughters go through correction tape like water, and we've tried other brands. My recommendation is to avoid purchasing this product because the tape does not work well and my daughters have discovered that the mechanism for dispensing tape has jammed in two places. three-quarters of the way through the tape before it runs out. Any cost savings I made were offset by the cost of unused tape.
